Beautiful work!

Have you thought about using bumpmaps on the roads? They look a little odd at the moment to me, since the texture suggests a lot of depth but there's none there.

They are just closer to nature - and live in colder/wet climate.
Vaegirs are not very rich kingdom - remember that Swadia is center of old Empire.. So they towns/houses are quite rich.
And Vaegir towns are just... medieval standard.

Rivacheg:

...and Khudan

It's gonna be like walking round in a painting!
As a suggestion, if both the Vaegir and Swadian style towns are fairly 'close', IE huddled I suppose, Rhodok or Nord towns could be more open plan and 'airy', that's another variation in style to add for effect.  Nord buildings could be entirely wood, perhaps made from two different kind of complementary wood to give some nice stylings?  As in example the beams being reddish and the boards yellowish (or visa-versa), they could even have some painted/patterned decorations here and there.

I've never walked around in a painting. But if you mean this:

Then yes perhaps.

Hi gutekfiutek, I just wander if you'd like some help with making scenes, I mean changing cities interiors and exteriors, I know from my own little experience that it is a very time taking so I wander if you would like some help
PS. Z twojej ksywki i sposobu opisania moda wnioskuję, że jesteś Polakiem.

When I installed your mod and tried to run the game I get rgl

  • error saying that get_object failed for: bo_swadia_street_short, what can be the cause?
I pasted textures to the textures folder
files from Modules->Native->SceneObj to in native module SceneObj folter
CommonRes and enbseries.ini to native folder and I
    also downloaded and changed scene_props.txt
Then I deleted the note about  that street, but error appeared again about next one and next one and next one...... What did I wrong?

Ok wyślij mi PM to pogadamy.
And copy .brf files to commonres folder - this will help:smile:

Yes, If I will make nord buildings it will be "airy". I'm thinking about mixing viking and saxon buildings:

Or like this

http://zielonezero.blox.pl/resource/taka_sobie_scenografia_Biskupin.jpg

With grass on roofs.
Only one floor 1-2 higher buildings.

This will make everything much simpler - I will need to make less buildings.

Of course this would mean totally redoing all siege scenes - like this:

But first I need to finish Rhodoks.

Yes of course, Rhodoks first and Nords -if-.
For the sake of conversation, is that a church of Odin in the first one!? Seems like post some kind of trading culture to me.
The second one, I wonder if the women would plant flowers on those for decoration?  It's a shame more wasn't written down back then, although apparently the Vikings were a very creative and respectful people in their own country, when they weren't striving forth in Odin's name.
The last ones very charming, and the castle/fort looks cool.
I'm quite suprised at your reply, my suggestion was along the lines of keeping it fairly easy to implement (Edit.. I thought you were mainly just changing textures), but if you want to do it properly, fantastic, I hope you find the time and reserves! Masterpeice away!

@Omzdog.. You crazy bean! I hope that's not supposed to represent me and you  :???:

Just to spin off a few ideas, I was thinking.
Perhaps finding a picture of a Viking Rus building to depict.
These people were a cultural fusion of the Nordic ancestors and the Kievan Rus people (the ancient Russians).
So it would be fitting to perhaps use these buildings to show the areas near the Nords and Vaegirs.

Love it, gives much more atmosphere to the cities (I use it in other mods too, works, mostly). Too bad you decided not to redo the khergit houses, they need some love too. But well, you can't have it all and I'll be happy to have the other ones.

Good idea, that would be excellant for the setting in Wercheg, due to it's proximity to the Vaegirs.

Tihr could probably use the more elaborate style, extending to two, maybe even three to four stories tall, reflecting it's importance as a major port town. Lots of decoration for its main support beams and columns would be great.

Just one thing I wanted to ask:

You seem to have replaced the steppe house a with one of your swadian street meshes? Can you confirm it, or is it because I use the buildings with the hundred years war mod?

Here is a pic:

EDIT:

For the inspiration, here are some reconstructed viking houses. Check the houses («haus 1», «haus 2», … ). That is a part of the viking museum of haithabu (more info).
But I think it would be a bit anachronistic to make the nord early middle ages, while swadians or other are a high middle age culture.

For the vaegir you could have looked into some more slavic architecture, I guess vaegir are supposed to be somekind slavic, like the slavic wagrians. But the buildings you made so far look sweet though and they are mostly of wood, so it is good I think.

holy sh1t  i wasn't paying attention to your mod,mr Fiutek  but i will now for sure ) too bad that my old pc prolly wont handle this...
