Polished buildings mod [RELEASED] [Siege bug FIX + new pics pg1]

Yes, but this version of M&B is for testing, I'm trying new things there,  so everything is a little bit broken:smile:

An obvious suggestion: for the Nords, use the Viking architecture. Like this: http://folk.uio.no/nilsroar/laerdal/borgund.jpg.
For Swadians you could use red bricks and tile roofs or something similar. Perhaps with some nice roof designs. Try Italian or Southern French styles.

Well I had always imagined the Rhodoks as being based on Italian city states, one of the maritime republics like Venice or Genoa. I don't think the Swadians would fit with an Italian style, personally.

Actually, I had the same feeling. I had thought of the Swadians as Germanish, but since he already did the plaster walls with wooden beams (typical German building style) for Rhodoks, that rules out that possibility more or less

Those are some great buildings and the HDR effect doesn't look bad.
Please continue your great work.
Why don't you make black and white half-timbered houses for the Swadians?
Here is an example:

Awww, nice. I was going to make new buildings for Warhammer Mod, but I might just not bother now.
Would you mind if I used them, gutekfiutek? They look great.

Thanks all.
Now I want to make better looking Nitive building.
Then i will try to make variations and maybe I will "reorganize" towns little bit. Now even with better lookin buildings towns look chaotic.
Now Textures are "temporary" - I'm focusing on modelling&uvmapping. So if something looks out of place or "too run-down" it's temporary state (probably:smile:.
I need to remap first 3 buildings anyway. Wooden beams need to look better.

2 new buildings:

I still have A LOT to do - i just discovered brf file  fake_houses and there are some i need to change there.
Also some village houses...
And taverns....
I checked Italian cities and materials used are stone and ceramic roofs. I think it will be good for Rhodoks.

For Viking(Nord) buildings (if i will be able to do this) i will use only wood, straw and a little mud. Something like this.

Maybe with port?

I added list of buildings on 1st page, so you can check how many buildings are ready.
Here are examples of ready buildings (those on pg.1 need some remapping.)
Textures still are temporary so don't cmplain about them.
Screens from brf editor

You gonna remake the walls and all that too? This looks really nice. These should be in native already (at 1.0 release ofc)

So if something looks out of place or "too run-down" it's temporary state (probably:smile:.

They look really great and are a fine replacement for the native ones, but personally I don't like "curvy wood" effect too much. That's just my opinion, but I think it's too fairy-tale like.

Don't take it personally though, I really like what you're doing

That's exactly what I do like about it :p

But I agree, he's doing a great job with these buildings!
