Polished buildings mod [RELEASED] [Siege bug FIX + new pics pg1]

The roads look great and really do make it feel proper. Nice to see buildings with specific textures rather than using something generic that also gets used for castles and walls. How have you made the road models? I assume they're blocks that you place the buildings on?

amazing! , as people said , it's make looks like better than Oblivion IV! , you surely have a very special modder gift

PS: BTW , this mod have any change on game performance?

If tris were added, then probably

I've used old buildings as base for mine.
Only thing that remain the same is collision - I didn't bothered to change it - groung floor fit old collision, and proper roof collision is not necessary.
It's not only few tweaks to those buildings - like someone mentioned, but I've made new geometry and textures for almost all buildings.

I don't seem to have framerate drop with this building pack - but my computer is quite new and powerfull now.
I think that in old towns lots of polys were wasted - little stones on the roofs, some very small props, foliage behind town walls etc.

And really, I don't care if on some computers framerate will drop - I care only to make good looking buildings - and I've tried to optimize them, so I used polys reasonable way.

Zaro - I will make two other sets of buildings for rhodoks and vaegirs - and every set  will have it's own textures - so now I'm using textures and buildings with prefix "swadia".
I don't like idea of having some random "artists" to change those buildings textures - as it took me lot of time to get those buildings done - so in "license" i will write  that no one is allowed to change anything without my permission.
But as I trust your skills - I will be glad what you will do with these textures in GE:smile:
here you have example of road pieces

OMG those new screenshots are incredible!

I can tell you have put a lot of time into this.

Well done M8.

Wow, truly amazing. If only the developers of Mount and Blade would somehow make a deal with mods like this to improve the default game ... ah well.

Great work.

This is probably suggested before, and the current roads are indeed magnificent and a masterpiece.

BUT, streets weren't anything like that in medieval time, they were humps of mud, some rich towns would be able to keep their main squares clean but the majority was just plain dirty.

It would really add the medieval feeling, but hey, you're the boss,do whatever you like,it looks great.

I recall town centrals had stone roads because goods were transported with horse barrows (or how do you say it). And I believe M&B towns concentrate on depicting centrals.

Wooooaaaa!! Awesome!

A real lookin medieval town!, absolutely fabulous!

And the "enbseries"

Good job Gutek

Well the Romans had stone roads and even if they were terrible I would have thought they'd have been improved over a thousand years.

You do know the state of the roads trueout Europe wouldn't reach the superiority roads of germans. It would gradually improve from the 18Th century.
It's wasn't call the decay of the W-roman empire for nothing.

ok, how exactly do you install this?
It gives no hint of it in the readme file. I got an error when I installed it, but I may have done something wrong.
commonRes = in M&B folder
SceneObj and scene props = module folder
Textures = M&B folder
enb series = Module folder

Just put everything from the package directly into main M&B folder.

Just downloaded. Love the work it looks amazing.
Does it work with GE 2.5?

Yes, but it shouldn't because I feel the new buildings should replace the native ones. Gutek, would you consider doing that? I haven't seen them in game yet, but it doesn't appear that you have actually replaced the native buildings and only use yours in the custom scenes. It'd be a shame to restrict these buildings to just the custom scenes.
