Poisoned arrows/knives.

As the vaccine for tetanus doesn't exist in 1257... any weapon can be poisonous. Arrows contaminated by soil, who knows what pestilence breeds in those depths... nah, they deal enough damage.

You are no assassine! You are a honorable knight, who fight for glory and money!

You haven't to stain your hands, your soldiers will.
Yes, "khergit veteran assassain", it sounds like he is going to shoot to the enemy lord with a poisoned arrow at the begin of the battle.
Edit:
Also,"mercenary assassain"

I cant really imagine this happening on a battlefeild,  and irl poison wasnt some magic 'damage over time' ability it is in games.

The only thing im gonna say is that it has been said that these high and mighty honorable "knights" would let their weapons marinate in dung. So if the cut didn't kill you the case of super herpagaunasyphilaids would.

i think that if this should be implemented, a whole new aspect of gameplay should be added. if we see becoming emperor of calradia as the ultimate goal, then there should be very in-depth ways of becoming emperor without being a warlord as such, or at least not living your entire life as general.

Another idea, if you  aren't noble and haven't banner you can use poison whenever you want, but if you are a noble or vassal and use posion against enemy soldiers your honour rate decreases lightly, but if you use it against important characters as lord and kings, you honour decreaes much.

You got the reputation of being a man who uses poison on the battlefield to kill all of his foes.... and then someone happily accepts you as a Lord and give you Lands ? No......

I personally would like to see it, i doubt all your units would be able to but you and maybe the party members with you can.
Could lead to a branch of assassination tasks from lords hiring you out to disable a lord to cause discord in a castlle before they siege it. would be nice to have the choise instead of just being the biggest war mongerer.

How they will know about it? The only person who can tell them are dead by poison. But taking in account that, some honourable players like you would dislike this in game and im sure so many people would remove this from game, so at last resort should be an option in menu for disable this or here is another idea, if you poison to a lord he won't be able manage to scape if you knock him in battle.

You are right, but this aspect isn`t reflected in the game, so poisoned weapons are the only alternative.

I totally agree, the only way to be "important" is being a military lord, should be other ways to be emperor of Calradia, as leader of a band of assassains, as a cultivated lord enacting new and dangerous ideas for the lords, or a charismatic character revolving the peasants.

Regarding the opening post: only in Singleplayer as an option for some Lords and the player.
Otherwise I can't see it fit for the game.

The Black Death came to Europe because mongolians throwed an infested corpse to a city with a catapult while they were besieging it.

Yes, that's because Black Death came to Spain 70 years after the rest of Europe

And that is how all of Europe got it within 5 years and Barcelona got it within 1 year...
