I am now with the First Calradian Reich and I talked to Boehm and a few others who I had relation over 40 and one of the conversations was that I could pledge to their house?

What is that exactly? I looked around the forums but I couldnt find anything about this, is this part of the diplomacy mod? Is there any benefits to pledging a house?

EDIT: Ok so its alliance to a house, but the thread that explain this doesnt explain what it does except its just a title, does it help in getting relationships with other lords easier or harder? and does it help me do a bit of politics to get say a castle or town when needed? or is it just the RP aspect only?

I thought so too but Boehm had no daughters, so I presume its a title or something. Not sure if this is a plus or negative with relations with other people. Since his relationship type would be liege I presume thats just a ruler type with specific rules *shrug*.

Ok after a bit of cheating and playing around for 1 hour,

I believe this Pledge is to a family of the House, meaning that you join a group of lords within the same faction when you pledge. At the same time enemy familes of that house will dislike you more.

What I dont know is how it affects in game, such as ordering troops (whether or not you are a marshal), and marriage. I believe it will affect things and there might be things you can do to lower their standings and reputations for joining a family towards the liege.

This to me is just a mere RP aspect. And no, its not another way to get into their daughters pants :p.
