PLEAZE HELP ME ON THIS

IF MY FRIEND WANTS TO GIVE ME HIS cd-key to play this game...cause he gave it to me and it isn't working ...it says "activation denied" why? can u help me on this

my friend gave me his serial key... i heard from him that you can use the activation key on multiple computers... i know this sounds crazy...but he is really angry ... now he want's to play it again after a re-instalation of the game and whole software and the game isn't working ... how come... 3 months pause ..then you can play...he told me he will do something about it...(it's not like a battle net or something just a 1p game) aaah....and now i have to wait 3 months ...your kidding me right?

So.... Your friend gave you his key after activating his game and you used it to activate yours, then he needed to reinstall and the key doesn't work on his new one? Has he tried re downloading the installer? I thought people were only allowed to use the key on their computer instead of giving it out.... Maybe he, our you (guess I don't understand) could email the creators and explain to them, they might re-issue a key or perchance set the activation server up to allow another activate... You probably need to be more specific and maybe redownload, or talk to the creators... Thats my guess
