What the title says. Even if it's just a small fraction of what we gain by waiting, please make it happen so that we gain something back while traveling on map.
I feel like I'm wasting my time waiting idle in a town. Also there's no way to see how much stamina i recovered while waiting so I never know if i waited enough or longer than necessary.

You can hover over you characters picture down on the left corner to check your stam. It takes around a half day cycle to get it up to 100. Idk about regaining stam though since its gonna disturb the balance making the trade to op since youre making so much money on the trade later. So if you both can do other stuff while producing you gonna end up with to much riches to early so to say and also theres also no risk in crafting to since you can avoid sieges which you can to but you need skills for it to be effective

I don't understand what you're trying to say.

Making the trade op
Trading is a seperate thing from smithing. How is this gonna make trading op?
If you're talking about selling your crafted items, it won't make any difference. Let's say you gain your stamina back in 1 day while waiting in town and in 4 days while traveling around. You have a crafted item that sells for 50 (also uses 100 stamina). You sell 50x4 = 200 worth of items by waiting in town. If you chose to travel you get 100 stam in 4 days and you can only sell 50 worth of items in the same time span. How is this op?

Sieges
This has nothing to do with sieges. You can still avoid it when you see an army approaching by simply exiting the town. And then you can go and rest elsewhere to gain your stam back.

Well since you asked how you can check your stam meter thats how you do it in the smithing window.

And well lets put it as this. If we see it as time is money and smithing also depends on you getting materials to the table. So if you can do this at the same time and getting stam then you gonna get a bigger outcome. Also if you can do others stuff as attending to your castle, guarding your fiefs, farming bandits for weapons etc well then i think its gonna be a bigger train rolling. Thats how i see it.

Yes you could if you pay attention

What is the difference between waiting idle in a town to earn stam and traveling around to earn stam? You can still do "all the other stuff" and make a pit stop in a town and earn money from smithing anyways. Waiting in a town for stam regain doesn't lock you out of doing other stuff. It just wastes your time. Is wasting time by waiting idle in a town considered a challenge or something? Is this a feature in the game?

Paying attention is on you. It doesn't make smithing any riskier.

I already know how to check my stam in smithing window. But I can't see it while I'm currently waiting in town, can I?

Anyway, we don't need to wait in a settlement to get our health back after a fight. We can gain it by traveling around albeit at a much lower rate. Why not smithing stamina? It doesn't make sense. It doesn't really matter how much stamina we regain back by traveling. It can be 1/100th, I won't mind. I just don't want to go around and do stuff for a week in game and return to see my stam still stays at 2.

Well seems you got everything allready sorted so no need to discuss it i guess. But yeah youre right a smith stam meter in the town menue above while waiting would be good to have even if its pretty easy just to wait a half day cycle to fill it up

I agree.

I'm fine with the smithing stamina gain being much slower when you're traveling, but for the love of Harlaus' butter feasts, have it regenerate at least in a small way outside of just straight-up wasting time "resting."

I try not to get my party banged up. This means I'm effectively left with a choice - lose time (and opportunities to do other things), or regain smithing stamina.

Only to get a fraction of a skill point from smelting and refining, and going back to the same choice. It's horribly, horribly boring.
