Completely wrong. It´s called basic arithmetic

If you increase anything from 0,5 to 2 it´s four times the original size.

XP needed to upgrade troops isn´t linear either, so your statement is utter crap.

The only thing that tweaking that multiplier does is handing out four times the after battle XP to your party. So the slices off that juicy cake will be four times as fat as before.

Edit the module.ini file, on the line "regulars_xp_multiplier = 0.5", put the number to 2 and your troops level up 2 times faster

Well it seems I got the info a while ago off of some random person on the internet so I wouldn't think it would be 100% valid, but it goes faster atleast.
