Please add spectator slots to the clan / practice matches

As I said months ago, spectator slots would be very much appreciated, I know there might be some problems with some people abusing it. It just needs to be regulated and it would make things much easier for people that wish to make livestream casted matches or just videos.

Please consider adding it.

I don't understand why they still have not done it, it's such a good way to popularize the game just by streaming and commenting the matches.

I've had a setup prepared for years now. Had to recreate it several times because of miniscule changes to the hud and at this point I've stopped caring.

Adding spectator at this point, considering the community seems hell bent on eatings its own young shouldnt be a priority. The best way to have it implimented without it being abused is to change the way the game "lobby" works, and before the match starts, you have the match settings open for the lobby to see with predetermined casters, that way players can still spectate with limited ability.
Something like this. I made this in paint in like 1 minute but the concept should be fine.

It could just be used when on specific occasions with trustworthy people, for instance we would like to host a french speaking skirmish championship around All Saints holidays and the quality of the stream can't really be outstanding. We had to stream discord POVs which aren't very fluid and practical when changing perspective. I know there is some sort of lobby when you host clan / practice matches, so maybe you could have the host of the game confirm the casters before joining.

I'm just trying to get it as soon as possible, but you are completely right

If you have someone who can host a server I found a workaround, it also wont be perfect though.
If you stay in spectate, some of the buttons dont work, like W, kinda big deal for commentating a match. But if you join a team during the class selection, you wont spawn and you'll have free spectate, W, tab, all the buttons will work just fine, but you'll lose some of the hud. But you can move around atleast. Do that before every round, make sure you join spectate again near the end of the round otherwise you'll spawn and **** up the game.

That should work theoretically, I havent tried it because of potential crashing issues if theres more than 6v6 on the server. And ofcourse, the spectating tools are almost finished so theres no need right?

Crashing issues with more than 6vs6 is fixed with the latest patch so it should not be a problem anymore
