Playing 0.9 new game

Ok I started playing and found if I join a faction after Char creation, game than auto-adjusts my faction to reflect my faction standings with the other factions per the faction selected.

Than I find it difficult, cuz as I run around recruiting my army, due fact that my faction is already at war, my peasant army of 20 runs into war-party of 90, and I cant outrun them. Needless to say I get trashed. Not sure if this is how it is suppose to be played?

I going to restart and be neutral this time.

Neutral is a different game to starting in a faction, which is ofcourse the fun. Are you playing as England? It's a known issue with them having wars on 3 fronts.

I was playing Mongol, and the armor on the Cumen merc for the Mongol looks very good. But I dont see the armor sold in store.

I could loot one of the armors, which is similar to it.

Is it worth downloading this mod or waiting until a full version is released? I read somewhere that it is in "Alpha".I'm looking for a 100 year war mod or something similar that is historically accurate and this looks really promising from the screenshots.

Its worth it but a new patch is being released soon which wont be save compatible so you might want to wait for that one.

The "Alpha" is really just a way of indicating it's still in development with a lot of new features coming. It's pretty stable, for the most part. Not really any "unfinished" features included.

My advice is to download 0.9 and play with it until the patch is released, so you can get used to the oddities of the mod and be prepared for next time. Protip: Don't play as an english noble.
