I was just wondering if anyone know the difference between river pirates and river_pirates, or forest bandits and forest_bandits

I think river_pirates has been there at least since 0.623... but I guess it could be different spawnpoints as you say...

Different clans. The split came about after the Great Winter of 632.
Those of the clan near Zendar complained they were not getting emails from their families in the forests because the space between their names was often mistaken for an underscore.
But the clans on the other side of the river thought the Zendarians were simply idiots and stuck to the original clan name. They also called the Zendarians geeks.
The forest bandits were forced to take sides as well - you simply couldn't let the insult go.

The resulting division sparked a great divide, eventually causing strife among the Swadian and Vaegir merchants who had been selling pirates and bandits their gear (with and without the underscore...). The kings of both nations could not agree on a unified naming system...
and this my friends is the REAL reason for the war in Calradia.

By the way, where does the hidden tribe of "hero_party" enter into it? On occasion you can catch a glimpse of their spawn point floating beneath the mountains near Uxkhal.
