I would not advise anyone playing on this server. For simply pointing out that musketoons are the most pirate thing ever and the name of the server is dishonest, and jokingly begging the admin to change the name of the server, I was banned. This was after coming in and not knowing about officer-only, looking for a pistol after I realized and it was said, then getting slayed before I could pick one up without ever reloading the musketoon.
Basically the admins you never want to see on a server are at least some of the admins here guys, stay away unless you enjoy that kind of thing.
Keep in mind nowhere does it say 'officers only' except by people in-game you basically are assured to be slayed the first round you play. What a poor, plain sad excuse for a server and server administration.

I'm afraid you are mistaken on many levels. I was there as one of the admins making the event possible when the incident occurred.
1. You were present for an EVENT. This event is the Bloody Sunday Event, which is held once a week by the same people who run Pirate_Battle_1. It involved large numbers of players, playing as officers (becuase it would be too easy to shoot muskets at each other at such close range) and having fun melee and chaotic battles while boarding each others ships. Different maps can also be cycled with these same rules.
Usually, it is done on a completely separate server and does not affect the normal operation of Pirate Battle. However, this week, the backup server for Bloody Sunday was down for maintenance and it was moved to Pirate Battle 1. Normally, we allow ANY weapons and have MANY custom naval maps for players to enjoy. For the event, the rules were changed. This change was listed in the game rules and are always in effect on that particular map.
2. "Use officers only for Wallonian Farm Night" is clearly listed in the game rules. It is your responsibility to identify the map and read these rules or you will be slayed so that other players who did actually go through the trouble of reading these rules can enjoy their game-play.
3. We do not control what textures and weapons are available to players. We simply try to provide a pirate-like experience to the best of our ability. Clearly we cannot change the physics of the game so that you can say the title of the server is accurate.
4. If you were joking, you would have got your joke out and done with in a few lines. Instead, you were shouting ADMIN and repeating that we were lying and dishonest about our game name, borderline spam. Do you understand how hard it is for even a team of admins to ensure people follow the rules on a 200 player unique event and then have assholes like you shout at us about irrelevant topics on the side? We don't need your bull**** being an ******* comments about our server name.
Finally, you are wrong that this is a terrible server. That week had a record breaking attendance number. We had 200 people, a FULL server, full of players happy to participate in such an awesome and unique, officer only naval boarding event. They begged for us to extend it.
Pirate Battle offers the BEST naval battle experience in Napoleonic Wars, with the BEST custom maps, BEST naval player base, and great admins. Next time you want to troll us and then come on here to whine, you shouldn't be surprised when you get banned.
Because we are decent human beings (unlike some people), all bans will be lifted (even though I'm sure yours was only temporary amid the chaos).
Please do not abuse the server again.

The true ******ry of admins on this server is unbelievable. Just joked and some tough admin shows up " WANT A BAN SON???". Jesus Christ, it's just a game, calm down. Yeah, server is quite good, but these dumb and childish admins are horrible. Are they 14 years old or they treat this game waaaaay too seriously.

I totally agree. I miss read the rules, then sent a single recruitment message not knowing it wasn't allowed. I was then kicked and banned from the server. Yes I should of paid better attention to the rules, I apologize for that, but banning me instantly without warning for as little as an unwanted recruitment message is ludicrous. I then asked my friend to apologize to the admin and to ask for myself to be pardoned, but he then went to ban my friend too. I'm afraid to say I cannot remember the admin's name, however, the date and time was 20:00 GMT 10/03/2013 if that is any use.Danewcielo 说:

I know that I personally, when I am admining, I will never hand out bans so easily and I try not to use the admin chat for anything like "WANT A BAN SON???", however, I cannot speak for my fellow admins. You have to understand that, especially when a server is busy, it is difficult to deal with people who don't bother reading the rules as there is so much going on already.
6e guys, please check that your bans were not temporary by trying to join the server now. If you are still banned and it is for some reason permanent, I need you to remember the name of the admin responsible. If you can't, it might take a while for me to figure out exactly what happened and deal with it.
As for the guy who uses language like "******ry" and such, I can see good reason for him getting banned. When you say you were joking, what exactly was the "joke"?

Also earlier I managed to turn a whole server round because no admin on wallonian farm, a few people said they would mention me to admin in support of my request.

Please forgive my bad English. I have just registered this account just to address some problems. I really enjoy playing in your server but all of a sudden in the last few games there are so many trolls trolling during the battle, causing unintentional teamkills by standing in front of a cannon or line of fire and that is ruining my gaming experience. Hope admins can pay attention to this.

I'm glad you were able to make an account and contact us. We love to hear feedback to help improve the server. We usually have admins cycle the server and check periodically to catch any such trolling. However, occasionally all of the admins are not available for a particular "shift" and so we let the server team-kill prevention settings and auto-rotation maintain the server. We also allow for kicking so that players like yourself can kick any trolls collectively.
Can you remember the names of the trolls? If this happens again, take screenshots so that we have easy evidence to prove their behavior.
Once again, we'll be sure to look out for this.
