Pirate Mods?

Hello there; with Mirathei's Pirate Mod being dead, I'm wondering if anyone has plans for a good-ol swashbuckling mod? Something more like Sid Meier's Pirates!, but without the dancefloors.  :grin:

I've been fooling around mainly with scripting/dialogues but have no capability whatsoever for mapmaking or modeling. I have a general idea of what I would like to  name my mod but I am fishing for titles (Tenative title is tenatively Count of Monte Blade, after the Dumas book). However, featurewise I would intend to add stuff like:

1) Random-Spawn structures, representing buried treasure or hidden ruins/lost cities. Once a treasure is dug up, the structure disappears to say "This former treasure site has been dug up."
2) Naval bombardment scenarios: The option to have not just ship-on-ship combat, but ship-on-land as well.

At the moment I'm just trying to gauge the interest for such a mod. What would people like to see in it, what would people not like to see, that sort of thing.

But it's not based on Sid Meyers pirates like Yoshiboys mod

You need an older version for M&B to play, I can't remember which one though..
 
If Pirate mod gets ported (And fixed for that matter) then I will literally fall down and weep tears of sweet joy.
