Ping Check Utterly Broken

On the server browser my ping shows from around 90 (rarely) to over 1300 (yes really) and I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. It's very frustrating and it makes picking a server awkward and it turns into a trial and error process.

Normally the ping is around 50-150 above. I hope this gets fixed.


I also find it impossible to host even a listen server, do I have to open ports or something along those lines?

My ping never shows up right on the browser in any game, not just M&B.

On the browser my ping is always 300-400. In the game around 40-50.

My ping has actually been jumping between 80 and 900, which used to happen occasionally in earlier patches but now has come back. Might be something on my end though...

And yeah never trust the browser pings. Just know that the lowest ping there is the lowest and its all relative so it hardly matters.

Makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one... I guess haha

Anyone else tried to host a listen for friends and having problems?
Or is there just some server support that I'm missing... because I've looked.

Try Port forwarding a range of 7240-7245 and also refer to this web page https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8571-GLVN-8711

Definitely try forwarding the one under Dedicated or Listen Servers
