Picture upload

This is a n00b question but I haven't been able to make it work or found a clue on the search. I'd like to just post screen shots as part of a message, but the 'insert image' function is a mystery to me. How do I upload a picture to the message?

I'd like to make it part of my post. I've seen lots of people have either just the picture or a 'Spoiler' button to reveal a picture. How do I do that? I'm not too fond of external links.

When you upload it it will give you some links
Copy the link under
"IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards"
so you don't have use the Insert Image on forums. If you want to use it for some reason copy the one under "Direct Link for Layouts".
and stick it into a spoiler.
