hello there! i decided to make a revamp of the first conquered city of my newly established empire! here are some pics from it: (DISCLAIMER, no idea when this mod is coming out or if it is, there are many cities to revamp, and some castles i wanna touch on too, like the ones with ocean vistas!)

This is the castle the ruler will be living in! that's the streets view. this is all on the morning btw.

I added some detail to it, but unfortunately you can't really walk through a castle complex.

This is the view from the arena, which i also revamped of course.

Thats the castle interior, i'm not happy with it and i think it's too big in size, i'll have to fix it later.

I already can spot some mistakes with the positioning of the arena from the castle view, i'll have to try and rotate the building.

Inspiration to do this actually came from the animes Legends of The Galactic Heroes and Berserk, where everything looked majestic and important, since the game's AI cannot keep up with advanced tactics (nor the game itself can keep up with it) i decided the only area i could genuinely improve is the sense of majesty, through architecture and sheer size.

I wanna do more though, i wanna revamp most cities / castles, emphasize their locations abit more, there are some castles on the top of mountains or overlooking the endless ocean that could really use the over emphasis of their geography. Some cities should have bustling ports and other should have even more ornate castles at their distance. Praven per example should be a city full of watch towers, overlooking a endless sea, with rusting roman style arenas and tight city streets, the castle should be on ground level, but it should be big and fat enough that players could see its watch towers from the entrance. Wercheg should be a mountain city, with giant dirt ramps for streets, that go on a spiral across the mountain that holds the main castle. Bariyye shoud be one of those cities separated by many sand embalmed, imposing walls filled with poor and tight shacks, decorated with many highly green oasis-like gardens serving as a barrier between the people and the palace areas. but well, its a process that takes time, i'm not trying to make the cities so big it takes alot of time to explore them, thats what invisible walls are for, making the player only witness the interesting parts, and most of the time thats the complicated bit. i'll post other pictures of the castle interior, as i will be reworking it when i have the time.

thanks a lot for the moderator and others for spoting what i couldn't see on the screenshots! you saved me alot of trouble! how could i be so careless! guess i was excited to bring some progress and didn't notice it!
but anyway...

Hello everyone! thanks for the replies! so i've made enhancements to the castle interior, i shrinked itas much as i could and added well textured details. i also rotated the arena on the castle view a bit to reflect the actual vista from the arena! here are the images:

I also added a secret! well it isn't much of a secret at all ,it just leads to a closed tower where you can see the town abit better.

Talking about secrets. At night the castle gets some interesting atmosphere, perfect for secret encounters with dat court lady whose family is rich and powerful!

I rotated the Arena from the castle view, to reflect the vista you get from inside the arena, the previous positions was just incoherent.

And that's basically it, i now will move to Tevarin castle and try to make that awesome, segmented, english castle overlooking the sea i was wanting to do! stay tuned! also thanks again to the mods. seriously.

No problem mate. And again good job with the castle. Keep it up.
you are awesome.
i'm not really happy with the lightning on the interior. it seems too bright, almost like everything is fake, there must be a way to see these things better. Also i just realized NOTHING has a shadow. Is there anyway to fix this? lol

Really cool scene! You should consider posting this in Nordous' Sceners Guild. Also be sure to check out The Bowman's excellent town scenes here for some inspiration: https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,320580.0.html

As for the shadows, just enable Environment Shadows in your Esc Options menu. It should make the interior look a lot nicer.
