Not quite sure I understood the first sentence. But for the second one, you can edit DDS files by using a DDS plugin for photoshop. I don't have a link handy with me right now but you can google for it, it should be easy to find.
Yea got it! As you can see one the link. When you save dds. The program give you many options DXT1 RGB 4 bpp | no alpha and when you save dds. then start M&b the texture shine.
So how do you keep the original alpha whit out messing it up? ore need i do a new alpha fore the new texture
