I voted for Xlacier. His composition is excellent, and the exposure was perfect. It still falls within the realm of destruction, and I think it is more prescient than ancient ruins, which do not hold as much of a connection as a broken piano.

Xlacier's is slightly emo and not so much destruction as it is piteous dilapidation. The broken tree is pure unadulterated destruction.

Hmm. Xlacier's is, undoubtedly, for me, the best photo but Hengists is truly raw. That wood is clean, freshly broken and to top it off, the tree is a ginger.

Infact, I love it so much, I'm tiling it on my desktop (replacing the final scores from the IFoR victory, last week - Long Live the Functionate!). +1 from me.

I'm still trying to decide. Corvus has captured a beautiful scene which is more the topic of an idyll for me, though. Amroth's lego-idea was very nice, it could have been more destroyed. Xlacier's photo is well done, but I don't know...
Looking forward to the decision!

Edit: Voted for Amroth, saved Corvus' though, because it's a beautiful picture.
