I feel that I should let you in on an unpleasant fact here: That's not just fat.

While Muscovy ducks are great meat ducks, they rarely get that large. What you're looking at is a female duck while she is sitting on eggs, which they typically do for about 20+ hours a day. Ducks as a rule poop a lot. They typically poop everywhere too, be it in their drinking water or their bedding. But a mother duck can't poop while she's on eggs, as that would kill the chicks. So you're looking at a duck filled with at or around 20+ hours worth of poop. Believe me when I say that you do not want to be around a mother duck gets up for a quick bite to eat...
