From what I can tell, she hates belly rubs. As do many cats, according to the internet. She considers it fair reason to claw the offending hand that attempts it.

Yes but the soft bellies are worth it.

Yeah, is that a joke or is that your first cat? I mean maybe some cats genuinely hate it, but for most it's love mauling.

This is my first cat. I'm really not a fan of being bitten and scratched. I'm also really really not digging this near untrainable bull**** going on where she destroys and scratches loads of **** no matter what we do sometimes. But when she isn't being an actual demon, she's pretty sweet.

You'll learn to love the belly bear trap. Or you won't. We'll see. Yeah, training them to scratch at designated places only, is the hardest one in my experience. I had to give up with one cat who while very adorable, cute and friendly, probably had some unironic brain damage (even the vet thought so) before I found her and just didn't respond to any kind of reinforcement. What have you tried so far? Do you keep her inside only or does she roam?
