Persuasion effect on allowed castles/cities.

Uther

Knight
My character is a Marshall of Vaegirs with 3200 renown, 60 honor and 100% relation to King Yaroglek.
Thing is, even though I've captured a lot of castles and several cities the old man won't give me anymore.
Now, i have Dhirim, Uxhal and one castle, but that's nowhere enough for His Excellence Uther.
I've captured Grundwalder, Snegzh(blah)da, Almerra and some other castles - not asking for any of them in hopes that when i capture rich Jelkala the king will give it to me. But nooo... Instead he gave it to some pathetic bum of a lord who came to Vaegirs after i annihilated Swadian fraction.

The question is....does my persuasion of 1 have anything to do with my ill luck?
I mean....it's low, but my relation with the king is 100%, and 65% with Vaegir fraction.

Persuasion has nothing to do with it.

To get a large number of fiefs:
Independently rebel against Yaroglek, kick some ass, and then later go talk to King Yaroglek and say "I want to restore my former oath." If you've kicked enough ass, Yaroglek will let you rejoin without having to sacrifice any of your fiefs.

I know exactly what your problem is and its that you have new lords joining your faction that now have no territory which guarantees that they will get first dibs over you. This is the down side of taking out a faction because then all your new conquests after this go to the new lords that joined your side and only once they all have something are you likely to get anything. You can check the lords of your faction and see how many are left that still don't own a castle or town and go capture some that you don't want for yourself since you can be sure they will end up going to these lords. If they only own a single village, as in no town and no castle, then its hard to say but they might still have good chances at getting it over you cause a single village is only worth 1 point in the calculations where a castle is worth 3 and a town is worth 4. A castle by itself is worth 2 but since they always come with a village that makes them 3.

yeah, the reason why you dont get any fiefs is because there are other lords with less fiefs than you. Amount of fiefs is the main thing the king uses as a factor to determine whether you get a castle or not.

Your renown isn't very high either to own what you already have, you should increase it... I own 8 cities, 1 castle, and 3 fiefs and I'm still being offered more.

You can read up on the way fiefs are awarded in the thread of TheMageLord's Compitation of 82 little tweaks. If you are knowledgeable enough there is also the way to change it.

As the others already said the deciding factors are

number of fiefs of each lord

reknown

who lead the attack on the castle/city

standing with the king
What I usually do is

Conquer fiefs until the king doesn't give me any more

Declare myself independent (now I'm a rebel and all are against me)

Conquer the other fiefs I want (as long as the others don't conquer your fiefs...)

Start the rebellion against whoever I want (I still keep my fiefs)

Finish the rebellion with a total victory
