personal heraldic bug

After creating a second character the choose heraldic window doesnt appear anymore.
So now I though have a better face but the boring two coloured standard symbol.

Is your character not a noble? Only nobles start the game with a banner. All others only get banners once they become vassal to a King or take a fief and declare themselves king.

Thanks - I indeed used varying starting attributes ... .
Now I managed to conquer a castle and got a banner.

Imagine - after the saranid reclaimed the castle Im still having my heraldic ... .
