MM Doesnt really exist anymore before you start fretting about advertising other mods, Spin2Win was a fighting style developed in M&M, Basically ruined warband lol.
can we please not turn this into a MM discussion? wouldn't it be a lot more helpfull and creative to adress some of the issues of the ACTUAL PE mod?
Spinning with spears is one and we have taking this into consideration even though i didn't personaly see it happen that much nor did i find it helpfull to get spear kills (which were quite a lot to be honest)

No ****. It's been almost completely dead since NW came (and that was more than two years ago), and why would I care about anyone advertising any other mods? MM is not competing with PE in any way, and, to be honest, as long as people play PE, I really don't care what mods they "advertise". A lot of things "ruined" Warband, including being able to spam with huge two-handed weapons in Native almost as quickly as you do with single-handed weapons (hope that has been fixed here, Greek), and being able to jump off 15 m walls with full armour and only losing half of your health. I personally like melee systems that are fun, BUT BALANCED, so, personally, I really don't mind spinit2winit, just as long as the spear remains balanced in relation to all the other weapons on offer.
As for how you use each weapon, whether it's standing still and spamming left-right with a bardiche or spinning with spears or even running round my opponent slashing with a butter knife short sword, I feel that they are all valid ways to fight. In competitive multiplayer, you can't be picky about how you win. Remember that.
I haven't played the latest version of PE, so when you send me a link Greek I'll give you all the feedback you like.
Btw the Sigs are really cool, some great design on them
We tried to make spears more usefull in usage with a shield than in native, especially for players trained as Hoplites or Royal Hoplites perhaps we orverdid a little bit
You must also consider that the quality spears by used most players in the event are actually pretty expensive, not the best the easiest weapon to buy on an actuall public server...
anyway, did you find them too fast or too powerful?
(btw... have you seen how some romans charged without blocking on a spearman lol )

This is a fear for most new mods, that is why we are working to have a stable first release and implement plenty of factions, featurues, equipment since day 1 so that people will have a lot of different oppurtunities and material to explore.

Anyway some time tommorow or in friday i will post the 2nd update with a lot of visual material from our last test session
Greetings forum travelers and welcome to our 2nd official Update for Persistent Empires,
Update II ~ Roma
This week we take a look at the Roman faction.
We based our roman equipment around the early and mid Imperial Age but dedicated historians will of course find many anachronisms.
Roman players will enjoy:
- Heavy Infantry based gameplay
- Historically accurate light and heavy armour as well as melee and ranged weapons of all sorts including different pilla, galdius, spathas etc.
- Legioner equipment (Main Heavy Infantry)
- Velite equipment
- Archer equipment
- Equite equipment
- Many togas and tunics for senate and civilian use
- Iron/Steel Based crafting
- Several eagle/banners from different historical Legions
- A variety of props based on Roman architecture such as the Pantheon.
*PLEASE NOTE: The items shown in this update are the work of many different people, we do not take credit for all, their respective owners are mentioned in the credits list*

PS is not history, it's not released yet.
There were some issues but funny enough thanks to some people ( including some from this dev team ) and the long hours we put into it, it's hopefully fixed .
