Hi there! is it possible to add the "Let your companion take the loot" from Floris? that would be nice! as I have a lot of fun playing with It! and the Cheat where you'll ask the troop and can select either "Upgrade 1 Member" and "Upgrade full stack:grin:
 
Hey why did you guys take out the ability to create multiple parties with different NPCs in your party? I liked to be able to place a group of men to defend a village while I was gone.

Also, for independent play, why was the ability to build an outpost removed? I found it difficult to help lords when given the spy mission, or just wanting to rescue because I didn't want to disband my high tier hard fought for troops.

Finally, if players like me want to continue to use those features, could you direct me to the path of success to mod it in myself.
I love to be able to manipulate my troops, it kills me when I send a recruiter out to Falcon to get the normal peasants, they always die at Serin Castle, i defeat the enemy presence and then repeat.  It would be awesome if I could station a group of men to defend the roads I was using or if I could get the recruiter to take troops into his party to defend the peasants.

Extra: Before I owned a town+castle, I couldn't manipulate my party without taking a massive loss in liquidated assets, my soldiers. If I wanted to add an infantry contingent to my mainly heavy knight army, I would have to completely disband a ton of knights (considerable amount of money) and then put in the infantry. Which I later found out, I should have just grabbed archers, but if I want them, I have to disband the infantry I spent several thousand on.
It would be great if I could alleviate that issue by creating some type of camp where I could still pay full maintenance or whatever necessary, but I could just store my soldiers. Maybe create a guard post where my men could be stored but also defend a certain amount of territory, Idk. I have seen the ability to do this in this mod and in Empire 3.

Where you could grab a companion or a soldier in your party and let him lead a party that follows yours? That could also stand guard some where?
Building an outpost?

I understand if you dont want to add it back in, so what im really asking is if you could point me in the direction of putting it back in.

In M&B 0.808 and some warband mods(such as light&darkness from china), you can talk to your companion to make him a patrol, which you can give troops, and make an order like "follow me".
 
Oh that's right.

Light and Darkness had a bunch of innovative features, not the least of which was being able to tell one of your companions to form another party, and you could give troops to them and tell them to follow you or defend a location - just like a lord.

What a strange mod... but it was so unique and interesting, even with it's flaws. And it had a story mode! I'm so hungry for the sequel, it's going to be insanely good.

Brytenwalda also had a feature where you could recruit a (EXPENSIVVEEEEE) unit called a Mercenary Captain, and you could also give him units to form a party, and use him to move units around.

That mod also had the Outpost feature, where you could make your own wooden fortification with a garrison and prisoner storage. Useful for sneaking into enemy towns by dumping your army at the Outpost, at least.

Never really liked Brytenwalda though, combat was slow, irritating, and I found it too easy to make money by just repeatedly extorting money from garrisons, resieging the fort, then extorting more money, etc. Didn't like the fact that combat also mainly devolved into me riding around huge clumps of infantry trying to dodge throwing spears, then have my Welsh archers shoot them in the back. Rinse and repeat...

But anyway, there's no need to put any of these features in the game if you think it'll give the player even more power than they already have.
 
i like to report a bug

1. when i imprison any general of Zann into any town or castle . My save game cant open.
it keep crash.

2. when i manage recruit general yuan and hiero. they betray me after a few second and join other faction.
our point relationship is 50.

I have the same problem too though.

I recruited Ratu Dohate (landless upstanding Aroulo lord), gave him a village, he left my faction, then immediately decided to rejoin me again. Like whaaat?

I've got an annoyingly high number of sadistic/quarrelsome lords so I don't like having to hand out fiefs again and again. One village or one castle, and that's it. That's your land ration son. I'm not giving him an invite back in, Dohate's pulled this crap on me three times in a row.
 
Okay, question: Did formations go back to Native? From what I remember, we were able to use the F keys to put units in several lines, like "Infantry => Movement (Or formation) => 5 Rows" or something like that. Am I right or am I being confused with another mod here? Thanks. Any insight on this will help!

EDIT: I was wrong. I mistook the function. It was from Gekokujo, not Perisno. Whoops, sorry!
 
Nah, your intuition was right, they took out the formations feature. Probably what made the start much easier too, but hey, I'm sure the devs had good reasons to take it out.

(Heh, remember when Female Mercenary Warbands would form up and fire missile volleys at long range? I had an incredible fight once where both my party and theirs were on tall hills, and we were firing at each other from 100 yards across a deep valley. Anyone dumb enough to try and cross the valley would die, so we stayed at our positions and just traded ranged fire...

Eventually, they broke and fled because my Elintor archers were too strong, and THEN I could send in the knights to mop them up.)

Speaking of which, I haven't seen an enemy party break and flee in this mod EVER. Not even once. What's going on? Are enemy parties always at maxed morale or something? You can break unit cohesion and make infantry formations scatter but they never seem to run off the battlefield.
 
Fleeing was disabled.
It turns AI into a mess and makes battles a lot more stupid&boring when the enemy army starts running away mid-fight even when the enemy still has a decent amount of troops.

I'm not sure what formations you are talking about.
1) In module.ini there is a line
use_advanced_formation = 0
which you can set to 1 if you like this unfinished, poorly positioned (key-wise), hardly any more useful than Native stuff.
By default it is disabled.
2) PBOD formations just don't work both in 0.7 and 0.8 (command options vanish from the screen almost immediately).
No idea why, and since PBOD causes serious lags in battles anyway, patch 0.81 will be the last one that will support it (for now PBODless patch is optional).
 
Did some searching and such. The Formations AI Mod, that's the the one I'm thinking of. It allows you to create ranks and formations during battle. Gekokujo used it and I enjoyed it a lot. I used it to place my infantry in rows with one command to stand against cavalry charges. I was hoping Perisno had sort of the same feature. I hate using "Stand Closer" Command and clicking it repeatedly for my Infantry to brace for Cavalry charges :sad: It takes so long and by the end of me clicking "Stand Closer", the enemy cavalry is already crashing through my ranks. Having the Formations Ranks Feature would be really great to add!  :ohdear:

You cannot keep giant lords unless you have giant culture yourself or a very good relationship with them.
