Perisno Q&A + FAQ

I recalled that we could praise the Grazirs when encountering the party of Grazir worshipers in a quest given by a Galwe scholar. Other than the loss of honor, is there any other planned effects to be implemented (ex. increase relation with Grazir worshiper)?

I noticed in the weekly budget statement that there is a Tax Inefficiency item. So far, this has never bothered me much. The loss was always small, so I could do without it.
What bothered in the last statement: -9000 denars tax inefficiency!

That's not funny anymore. This is a lot of cash. The loss brought me to +-0 denarii. My army is tiny, even more so the crews of my cities (I count on arriving in time), and still I have to be satisfied with that little bit?

Do you know where the inefficiency comes from - or rather how I can eliminate it or (because it probably won't be possible otherwise) reduce it?
I have read that I can change some value in the presentations.txt file to reduce or eliminate the effect of the control inefficiency.

Can you tell me which one exactly ?

With kind regards rolli

You can check the M&B wiki to learn more about the mechanics of tax efficiency. It's probably not much different in the Perisno mod either.

About tweaking, you will need a developer help otherwise it's quite hard to figure out.

I'm trying to find the rapier but I can't access the other continents of Aroulo Ojibkwan. I think I need to use a boat but can't seem to find where to get one...
There's a waterway from Geldar lands to Aroulo lands between the two. The water along it looks different.

I have several issues with the mod.
1. The snow is way too bright! It's almost blinding me.
2. I see a human face in the sky. Or at least the games version of a face. If not a face, its grass.
3. Whenever I want to save, the mainmenu is a mess. I can still save, but it sucks. It's a mix of the main menu and the Perisno menu. Hard to explain.

Was there a hotfix, that I missed?
1. Try turning off HDR.
2&3. I think you have a corrupted download. Try redownloading Perisno and the hotfixes, the latest hotfix version is 1.2.3, and I recommend using ModDB.

I saw topics on accumulating money within fiefs, but I still can't seem to find the function even till today. Anybody mind explaining how/where to set it? The posts I saw doesn't explain how at all. Thanks.

Hi,

you can use the arrow buttons on your keyboard when visiting your castle.

Is there a strict lore reason that there are no non-human bandits/ minor factions other than the usual deserters? Barombur talks about becoming a brigand after getting sick of extortionate taxes and the Geldar used to be a hostile minor faction.

Maybe something like:

-Renegade Dwarves; spawn in the Dwarfven mountains and hostile to everyone except the Mosoru and Perisno Adventurers with whom they have allied with against their Kaikoth overlords. Equipped with the low-end Dwarf cloth and leather armour, but with decent melee weapons and shields.

-Wandering Giants; spawn in and just outside Giant territory, these are scouting adventurers and hunters, with a fast travel speed on the map. Hostile to everyone except Sut and Bakhal, they have a mediocre selection of giant's armour, but are mostly armed with spears and bows, so are a threat to cavalry on the battlefield.

-Elintoran Guerrilla's; Basically the Socia'tiel, they are hostile to all factions hostile to Elintor, Elintor/ allied factions parties will assist them in battle, and they are hostile to non-elven player characters, except when allied to Elintor, as a vassal or merc. With mediocre to decent armour, good bows and amazing archery skills, they also include horse archers in their parties. Speedy on the map, shooty on the battlefield, you really don't want to face them with low-level troops. Pathfinding specialist.

Elven Foresters; Elves who have rejected the civilised ways of their Geldar and Elintoran brethren, they have returned to a more "natural" way of life in the forest. They are neutral to everyone except bandits/deserters, who see them as easy pickings and are hostile. They usually escape though, as they spawn in tiny groups with a fast map speed. They carry knives and wear only the weakest fur and cloth armour, but have decent bows and archery skills. Their parties also include female elves armed in a similar way; elven peasant women they have persuaded to join them in the forest in one way or another. Help them, leave them alone, or attack them to acquire a bow early in the game, your choice.

Ahh... I saw posting about v1.2.3 from peeps, but I wasn't sure if it was correct or available xP
Edit: looks like modDB is more up to date. I only checked the other two links for the client version
