Don't listen to them, this cheap trick won't fly in Perisno, especially in 0.9.
Your army of peasants will be obliterated with minimum losses on the enemy's side (both in real fight and in autocalc) because quantity without quality now benefits your enemies more than it does you.
And from the perspective of cost efficiency trash units are better only when your leadership is low. 1 coin is 1 coin and will always be while top-tier troops' wages will decrease drastically as your leadership increases.
Also... 1000 peasants? The average castle garrison strength is 3k-4k, the average town garrison strength is 7k+, autocalc strength of an average tier 1 soldier is less than 1 rounded up to 1. So you need more like 4000 peasants - 10000 peasants. Good luck collecting them.

You want strong garrison? Pick troops with high tactics and intelligence and low charisma. The first 2 stats affect their autocalc strength in Perisno, the last one affects their upkeep.
The troops from Maccavia, Hakkon, Cretas, TTL and Kaikoth are most tactical ones, elves are the smartest ones.
Pick preferably archers and infantry (their autocalc str is bigger in sieges, especially archers').

How good are champion gladiators? are they worth the time and money to get them or is it better to just get swordsmen and northguards?

Northguards are literally the best garrison material infantry. They're good in real fights and they have great autocalc_str/upkeep ratio because of their low upkeep and high tactics/int.

These are troops with the highest autocalc_str/upkeep ratio (TTL troops are not included because I don't have their 0.9 version in my spreadsheet; also regular autocalc str is used, without terrain bonuses):

Galdiator champions' ratio is above average on the full scale.

If thats the case why does it seem like maccavia always loses to the reich and valahir?

I think it's the first time since I've learned about the mod that I read such sentence.

As for Reich - they have quite a few strong lords, unlike Maccavia. They also have a lot of cavalry which is stronger in field battles (including autocalc) than infantry / archers. So it's no surprise that sometimes they have an upper hand, when they're not at war with Drahara.

In my current playthrough the valahir have taken all of the maccavian places near there island idk if they just got hit hard by the reich but maccavia is mostly dead and the zann havent even invaded yet.

Is the Church of Faith "racist"? In my game I just saw a Bakhal caravan just get totaled by Grand Paladin Sigfried's army.

Nope. They have bad relations with Bakhal Giants, while they are in good terms with Sut. If I remember correctly. It's mostly because the first ones are considered evil, but...

Fair enough (from the Church of Faith's perspective anyway) but the Perisnoan Adventurers are definitely racist against dwarves   In my current game I'm playing as a dwarfess vassal of Kaikoth, and I have very negative relation with them bc I keep having to attack them to rescue their high-tier Kaikoth prisoners

It's actually the other way around.
The adventurers are just looking for gold in the mountains, and the dwarves are... not happy with it.

I was looking at making a couple personal tweaks (just through simple text file edits) and noticed some dialogue in quick_strings that indicates that one can marry a claimant after a successful revolt.  Does that actually work in the game, and if so, for which (or all?) claimant(s)?

Or is just remnants that aren't really functionally implemented?

Being able to marry a claimant (male player with female claimant only) is part of Diplomacy mod. I have no idea if it is functional in the Diplomacy used by Perisno though.

I have a question, when i fight against some enemy that i want to deal with them alone, i give my troops order to retreat so no one gonna die, then kill enemy all by myself, how could that make my party's morale reduce a lot?  Same as when i want some specialist troops to retreat, party morale go down too.

Retreating = not quite manly, coward move,... Therefore your troops don't like it. It's quite logical and simple.

It is possible. Everything works

I am having issue with money making from owning lands. I own the town Galwe, its population was 10000, 50 acres and i already bought all. Then i enlisted a patrol (the best troop around option), then its population drop down to around 8100, so i sold 9 of my acres. The problem is since then i've received nothing from the land here, why is it happen? I was traveling around and received money from Forniron acres twice before go home at Galwe to notice no money there.

1 more problem with Freising lands. Pop here is 4100, i own 21 in total of 30 acres, i lost 10 aurums from it. then i sold all my acres there, now whenever i buy acres there, the financial report give me 5 more acres; for example i bought all 30 acres, it show that i got 35/30 acres in Freising, is it a bug?
