Pendor Store

Let me explain:
If Pendor had a merchandise store, a website where we could order fan things online (A Wolfbode shirt with something witty on it, A shirt with Marius' council meeting when he decided to rebel against himself shirt/poster, stuff like that) would you buy from it? I may be just a unique case here, but if I could spread the cause of Pendor and have a shirt or hoodie or anything like that because the Prophesy of Pendor group sold it, I would definitely buy one.
Would you guys (Or girls) do the same?

Since its overall 0 profit, they would need to invest their own money into manufacturing it, and its extremely time consuming, unless they can contact a medieval blacksmith of some sort and cut a deal with their own material and manufacturing.

basically the team would host the website, handle the orders, while the guy who builds it gets a cut (imho the builder would have to get the major cut here for obvious reasons), and the team would simply handle the designs of some "pendor mark".

If the team has some smithing knowledge, or they could research it, they would handle the designing part themselves and get a bigger cut in the deal.

Same if you want to go smaller (t-shirts, hats, etc), only difference is that in this case you can afford to fund everything yourself.

Either way, in the end its more of a headache, and only worth it if the creators have some extra free time to micro manage such business, even on a small scale, it would pay off somewhat, and with advertising it could go much further

If you want a Pendor T-shirt or something, take something from the game, a picture or banner or something (I'm guessing you might need permission too? Dunno.) then have them put it on a shirt via one of the companies around the world that offers such a service.

If Pendor had a merchandise store, a website where we could order fan things online.

I've raised this issue before (twice, I think), but no one cared and I've given up suggesting marketing ideas for the devs.

Since its overall 0 profit
Depends on what you mean by that. Mugs, t-shirts, posters, book covers and stickers are profitable enough, but since nothing PoP-related is currently for sale, this kind of marketing wouldn't bring any long-term income for the team - they would be promoting PoP, but pop doesn't give them any money.

Thank you saerossaeros and Lord Tristan and indeed anyone and everyone who holds similar viewpoints of our collective work.

This body of work regarding the lands of Pendor for Mount&Blade and for Warband is a gift

It is a gift of labor born from the desire of the main POP developers to create something, to enhance our own skills and understanding and to share with each other and you, the ensuing journey and fruits of our passion.

I understand the desire for many to want to reward this body of work and the people behind it.
I would like to acknowledge that desire,  and tell you that all of us on this side of the development curtain would feel the same way if the roles were reversed.

There is only one way in which this can be done in an equitable fashion.

We ask for your good will.

[size=11pt]The future is not yet written, and we are all working with the skills and understanding we have attained by working on Prophesy of Pendor.

Beyond today, one or more of us may create, or be part of, a commercial offering.
It may be set in the Pendor Universe, it may be something else entirely.

We ask for your good will in looking at what we collectively or individually will be offering in the future, and that you consider it as something worthy of your attention.

With so many entertainment offerings being released into the market, it is easy to be overlooked or drowned in the noise of advertising, and heavy commercialization that surround the big business of interactive entertainment.

If we as developers and designers have learned the right lessons here, then those future offerings we create, should provide as much or more engagement, entertainment value and wonderment that what you have experienced with Prophesy of Pendor.

What we ask, is that you look and consider.

Thank you
.
Kindest regards,

I understand  Believe me, I am not pushing for this, or rushing you in any way. I just wanted to make suggestion to the board. I know how hard it is to maintain and create a world of this level, and I want the team to know I appreciate it. I don't want anyone to feel pressure of this, I was just hoping that, sometime in the future, be it years, that I hope I will be able to show my appreciation to Pendor.

Awesome, you guys are doing porn now? link

Kidding, don't kil me. I will play your game.

@ SD: A heartfelt thank you to the entire team, PoP is the game I have spent the most time playing, up till now.  To have such great entertainment/replay value for nothing is truly wonderful.  I will be certain to have a look at any future endeavors you guys put out.  Pendor is already magnificent as a labor of love; I can only imagine how much more amazing it would be it were a commercially funded retail product!

@ MM: Forget the green horde, make a scorpion assassin hoodie!
