Well a problem with making pikemen anti-cavalry is that pikemen just suck in M&B, because all they can do is poke.  I would have made a "dismount and injure horsemen running into a pikeman script," but agent_set_animation doesn't work.

Again, if there were knight-defeaters, it would just lead to battles involving knights and knight-defeaters.

I've characterized the different troops as well:

"Bowmen have low armor, cutting damage, and speed bonus.", "head_armorer_troops_b",[]],
"Macemen have medium armor and do piercing bonus against armor.", "head_armorer_troops_b",[]],
"Swordsmen have high armor and do cutting damage.", "head_armorer_troops_b",[]],
"Axemen have high armor, cutting damage, and attack bonus.", "head_armorer_troops_b",[]],
"Pikemen have high armor and defense bonus.", "head_armorer_troops_b",[]],
"Crossbowmen have medium armor and do piercing bonus against armor.", "head_armorer_troops_b",[]],
"Mounted Swordsmen have very high armor and do cutting damage.", "head_armorer_troops_b",[]],

Also, Earth swordsmen, Fire macemen, Metal crossbowmen, Water Pikemen, and Wood Bowmen & Axemen are all twice as strong (12 str, agi rather than 6 & +100 wp) as the same troop-type of other elements, and you can also acquire these special units after conquering the region.  bowmen,crossbowmen have melee now too.
 
Anyone want to help me out by doing something monotonous?
take screens of as many of native's villages as you can--there are 54(like this  village 1: village 1)
pm me with your email and i'll send the dialog.txt which'll let you talk the constablein native and visit all the villages

you'll get special thanks in the coming release...if that's any incentive :razz:

Cartread, could you satisfy my curiostiy with a brief discription of what the mod is about and what features it has? I can't play M&B at the moment on account of my PC.
 
You control a village, assign work to your peasants, build up village, train an army, burn, rape, pillage, and all that jazz

[sugestion]I think that the tavern could have a ration of alle consumition you give to your peasants, having high consumitions costs gold to produce it, but increase your vilage health.[/sugestion.]
 
Whats the update on this mod? I havn't seen any updates and i would like to see this mod go! It has really great potential!

i really like this mod it sounds really cool but somhow i can't download it  i have the files but i can't get it on miount and blade game

I've conquered all the villages and started again!!!!!



Few bugs Ive found:

You cant do nothing at conquered regions (its uposed that you could recruit troops in conquered regions). And in once, the old lord of the region (who was supose to be dead) appeared behind the new region manager (I dont know how is he called in the game) and when I talked to him he acted like if I didnt conquered the region. He told me to go away and as I stayd it started a fight agaisnt the troops I had assigned to be the town guarnition, I had to kill my own men!!!


The guy at the tabern talk to me like an enemy. "Surrender or die". Unless he is telling me to stop drinking or I will die from it, lol. 

I've started an war with an old ally. And even after a long war It still assigned as an ally, and I could entry the region with "entry allied region).

Some lords seem that they arent building anything in their village, not even farms.

Is very difficult to make units enter the enemy gates in an siege or to get them to the walls and require an lot of micro management. Maybe an Native feature, but could you make them an little less stupid?


Some suggestions:

Mounted swordsman seem an little overpowerd as armed peasants. Maybe they should be better as knights (much more expencive and trained in an different building, needing an week to train each so the player cant recruit a lot of them) and with an new cavalry unit (light cavalry) to make the job they do now.

Cattle - the player could buy an few heads of cattle at the market and the herd would grow each week (with few peasants working on them) and produce some food (milk, cheese etc). In times of need the player could choose to kill some animals to give extra food.

Cattle raids and small raids to steal resourses: bandits and lords could send some small night raiders at the early game to steal some cattle and resourses from other villages (without walls). This should only work to small parties (-20) and only few members of the guarnition would be spawned each time    (like 1/5 or such) to represent the surprise efect. This would had more fighting to the game than just the conquering battles.

Optative buildings - It would make the game more interesting if the player had to chose between some buidings.

Diferent units  for each faction - At least an little more diference in tabbards and armours.  And each faction could have at least one special unit (like elite archers for Wood region)

Tournaments - You could make an scene like the arena, maybe in market or in an new place but where the player could duel other knights and town lords (one vs one) or in team fight like the native arena for lots of Carisma and gold at least one time for year (like a yearly tournament festival).

Training grounds - Since we dont have an arena in each town anymore it would be interesting to the player to be able to fight against one of is men (training fight) for experience, fun and maybe carisma in some kind of training fields in is own town.

Know what's kinda funny? I never called the enemy building scripts in the first release! Hahaha..............actually it's not funny, but true... :mad:

Well, the horses climbing the wall I haven't really fixed, because either have it that you have to tell your troops where to go (press the 1,2, etc. buttons) or run into an invisible wall when nearing the castle walls w/ your horse (this is why native dismounts you in sieges--the ai barrier also barriers horses {even yours}).

So people will still be running into the walls, but not as much because of this:

which kinda works.  It basically says every 15 seconds get away from the walls, then after 15 more charge, then 15 more get away, etc.,etc...)
 
I've fixed all the problems and am now adding new features!

Just another sugestion, dont know if its possible to implement but would be lot of usefull:
Its possible to create a way to give orders only to troops near you? Its quite boring that you have to call all your infantry at the middle of the fight when you just need 3 or 4 men to support you in some task (ex: clean the walls from enemy archers).
