Peace

Is there a way to get peace between two nations without the peace mission that the guild masters never seem to give when you want it?  Want to get peace between the Veagris and the Nords but after an hour (no kidding) of visting Nord and Veagris guild masters, none want to give that mission.  I don't care if it's a conventional method, a save game editor, or a cheat code, I just want peace.

Generally, you'll have to gain the guild master's trust before they give you such a quest.
You'll have to do like 4 or so minor quests before they give you the option. A tip: You can speed over the map without cheats by pressing ctrl + spacebar, in that order, while moving on the map. This is useful for the bandit quests.
