I have one thing that I'e wanted for a looong time, well I can think of a few ways of fixing this so I'm gonna post some =)

My problem is when I click on a town/castle/village that I wanna visit the game chooses the shortest way instead of the fastest way, wouldn't it be possible to either add  some "invisible roads/paths" in the game that the Character would choose instead of going straight into the woods or ride up and into the cliffs/mountains?

Or why could't we have smaller roads going through the woods/mountains? There is one path across a mountain between the Sultanate and Khergit (Forgot the names of the villages and can't check since I'm going to work soon =) and I don't think it would be too hard to add more like it. (And of course using the road(s) through the woods would be faster than going through the woods but slower then going around it.)



I know this isn't a main change since you can just click next to a forest and then again on the village in question but it just annoys me having to do it every time =p
 
Nah, not very good, I think the shortest way is good enough.

Err? His idea would take longer, so how does that make him lazy?
 
Acctually, moving through a thick forest at 2.4 instead of going round it at 4.2 (I think it was....might be off with a few here) I loose a little time when going through the Swadian forests =)

Try (for example) going to Halmar from Amere or the village a little south-west of it...and then try the same trip by clicking north of Halmar instead and then going through half the forst instead and you'll save a little time.

Like I said, not the first thing to be fixed...but it's annoyed me for 5 years =p  (Eventhough it was even worse a long time ago when you'd ride into the mountains a few times every trip you'd move close to one =)
 
Besides, the pathfinding doesn't take the direct route but persists in taking a triangular route. And there are locations where the map pathing goes particularly strange, such as around Ibiren and Ruluns.

It would be nice to actually see where the main roads lay on the map rather than little stretches of road that seem to peter out in the middle of nowhere.
 
Movement speed can be increased with pathfinding
If you want speed in game to go faster see below

Go to modules/native/module open in notepad then change make sure to save as same file name and done.

time_multiplier = 0.25 to whatever you want I suggest 0.3 or 0.35.
0.5 is twice as fast looks too fast for me.
