Patch Notes v1.2.12

Agree there's so much negativity for such a good game which is sad.

Hopefully a update soon and we can all continue to enjoy this brilliant game even better.

Thanks Devs
Let's hope indeed!

I'm confident that we’ll eventually get another update, though I’ve heard it might take a little while before it arrives. One feature I truly miss from Warband is the rich conversation system, especially the ability to interact with other vassals or faction leaders.

In Warband, if you were a vassal or a faction leader, you could issue commands to your fellow vassals or even suggest coordinated attacks on cities, castles, or villages. It added so much depth to the strategies of the game.

You could choose a specific dialogue option, and it would prompt you to select which settlement to target, whether to raid or attack a castle or city. I really hope this system (or something similar) will be reintroduced or expanded upon in future updates. There’s so much potential for even more complex interactions and greater strategic depth, and I’m eager to see what’s to come honestly.

Really, you got inside information. Please share. You have other than just opinions right?
They hyped up a two-year anniversary for Bannerlord and the update that they released during that hype was a 97 byte patch that only adds very minor and inconsequential bug fixes that only serve to break singleplayer mods, while multiplayer is left untouched.

That alone should say enough of what to expect from the upcoming 1.3.0 update.

Let’s keep our hopes up for March 30, 2025! 🙂

It’s been nearly five years, boys.

Hopefully, this will be the final content update, allowing mods to finally stabilize. That way, both upcoming overhauls (also other mods) and existing ones won’t have to go through rewrites. Maybe that’ll give everyone a well-deserved morale boost! 😃

You're behind by two and a half years. And I think you're being wilfully ignorant to the unfortunate likelihood of 1.3.0 just being another set of inconsequential bug fixes.

What hype? The 2nd Anniversary Celebration & Giveaway that was posted on steam? The post that did no mention of any patch or update coming along it, or a set date. That hype? You didn't really read it did you? Or maybe you just didn't understand it?

What kind of massive update and/or fear of backlash could possibly justify the secrecy and time since the last content patch?

Jfc it's been like 2 years since 1.0, and not even the stuff promised in that apology of a roadmap is here.

"We really are just taking 6 months to work on a bunch of minor and inconsequential bug fixes while stopping you from installing a sex mod" isn't the type of announcement that would win a lot of popularity contests, especially since other studios would probably take a few weeks, maybe a month at most?

I'm choosing to overlook Taleworlds' apparent lack of passion for the game. Frankly, years of disappointment on these forums haven't done anyone any good.

Even if this is just a bug fix patch, as you suspect, I hope it's the last one. I'm currently enjoying Bannerlord by adding a lot of mods, but I miss many of the abandoned ones, which were unfortunately abandoned because of the lack of stability through patches.

For someone so pessimistic, you're surprisingly active on this game's forum. The game's initial alpha release was on March 27, 2020. 2018 was the year of teasers, so I'm not sure what you meant, as we haven't been playing the game for 7.5 years.

Saying that 2020 was an 'alpha release' is pretty inaccurate. It was fully playable from start to finish (for whatever you define as ending the game in a sandbox like this), feature wise the game was essentially complete* already. An alpha would be far more barebones than even what we got.

*complete as according to Taleworlds. Many consider the game to be half baked to this day, but TW was happy to slap a "full release" label on the game a couple years ago despite there being little in the way of meaningful changes.

Let's be honest, it is impossible to maintain a staff of game developers without developing new games or paid DLCs, and only fixing bugs in current games. Developers, like all other workers, want to get paid for their work. In order to pay developers salaries, the employer must make a profit. Where can you get profit if you do not sell anything, but fix bugs in old games? No game will ever be perfect, because no matter what cool features you add, there will always be room for improvement or another new features. Even real life is not perfect, but you dream of a perfect game. Leave the developers alone. There are many games that are designed for only 30-50 hours of gameplay, but they cost more than this game. If you played a few hundred hours in this game, consider that it has fully paid for itself. Personally, I have played about 2000 game hours. I don't dare to demand anything from the TW developers, of course I can ask, but not demand.
Instead of spamming this forum for years, you could learn C# .NET in a couple of months and write your own mods/bug fixes/whatever...
or even start a new community of TW haters, start studying game development together and develop your own version of Bannerlord 2, and enjoy your flawless game and laughing at TW.

I tried to learn C++ for 10 years, and failed ! Could never get my head around OOP. BTW, modders shouldn't need to learn programming to design a mod, it should be simple like changing Database fields. Yeah, ok ,old debate, just teasing. :D

BTW, That Homer meme is really funny. Current crop of excellent mods means, who cares about any update ?

I think game is doing fine, everyone needs to calm down and things will sort themselves
No, the game is not doing fine. Multiplayer have awful server stability, and it need to be addressed for real. Lack of maps for gamemodes don't help either.

Can't really say anything about single, didn't played it ever.

I join the game (Battle because both TDM and Siege are down), play 3 rounds then Battle is also down.

Fix your ****ing servers, it's literally unplayable (no server is ****ing up). It's so damn ****ed up.
