Patch Notes v1.2.12

Users who are viewing this thread

Everyone can find this stuff by just google it.
What's google ? I use Brave.

Joke aside, googling stuff is one thing, having a discussion with people on a forum (or Reddit, or Bluesky, you name it) and ask them directly their sources is another fair way to use Internet, I guess ?

Thanks to you, now I have a link to click on, some would call it luck, I'd call it result. See ? Didn't even need google after all... 🙌

This said, thanks for that.

So I quickly checked, but all I saw here was what this "Finahukuk" program is supposed to be about, nothing on TW being part of it in a way or another, also nothing that actually confirms what has previously been said (low moral, devs doing nothing, etc) by Gerrodot.

But I'm sure he will provide us his own sources soon enough, right Gerrodot ?

It's a incentive program any game/program studio can apply for if they meet the conditions. It's not like the gov just hand out willy nilly. In my country there is similar programs that can be applied to, . A lot of countries have such programs in some forms. I would assume any studio that meet the conditions would apply for it if it did benefit them. But there is a long stretch from that, to make claims TaleWorld get funded by the gov and can be lazy and not do anything, they get paid just the same.

Is there any planning or indication for the looter bandit troop to have upgrade paths into either the Hillman or bushwacker?

Being able to convert your worthless looters in warband was always a nice bump in power, especially when doing a bandits only challenge run.

It would be further appreciated in Bannerlord, with a dedicated roguery skill, for a perk to unlock bandit upgrades.

You could place the ability to upgrade the bandits into the same perk as the one that makes surrendering bandit parties always offer to join the player.

I also believe that the correct decision is to let all bandit types be upgradable into their Boss variant.

These changes would massively improve the variety and strategies of play with comparably small amount of effort on behalf of the developers.

Thank you for your consideration

Alright, but you forgot to provide your sources on the way, on what you previously said about current TW state (something with Turkish gov, TW being a lazy company, low moral, no one really working on anything, etc).

Won't lie, I'm very curious about it, so I feel like pressuring you a bit on this one, hope you don't mind ?

Shoot right below, eyes wide open, you have my attention:

Reading a bit about it in Turkish, there is really a serious government support. Government reimburse half of the commissions they pay to the Steam, Epic etc. for example, upper limit was 100 000 USD in 2022. This is only one clause in the program. From personnel wages to fair attendances they receive support for pretty much any expense, we are talking at least one or two million dollars, maybe not enough to make them rich, but that is still a significiant relief.

From there to make claims they can just bum around with thumb up their rear and get paid the same from the gov is far fetched though. If you don't make any you won't make much good from such incentives, and if you make something bad that doesn't sell well there is not much to get either. The link I gave above was from 2024 afaik.

Don't take my phrase that developers don't do anything at all too literally. From their point of view, they are doing something - for example, once a month to post a post about community c*ap in STEAM, or once every couple of months to roll out a small patch, or to write some kind of prototyping (i hope...).

And for anyone who does not understand, government funding DOES NOT IMPLY THE CREATION OF GAMES AND THEIR SUPPORT. Why do you persist in not understanding this? I can just imagine this AMAZING ministry giving money to release DLCs for an already released game and to develop a new game for which nothing is available and nothing is known. Lol

The purpose of this financing is to train and employ software specialists, nothing more. It practically does not concern your games. Further, with regard to employees, I had previously attached screenshots of TaleWorlds' investments in a mobile game developer for a reason. Browser and mobile games in Turkey are an extremely serious and profitable industry. One of the serious assumptions is that incoming employees mostly try to work at TaleWorlds with government funding, leave later and go into browser game developers for example.

I'm just curious about Armagan, if he doesn't care anymore...

I remember the history of the creation of the first games, how he wrote the code himself.... Did he really not care anymore, because why bother when there is a government cushion?.. prepare and equip the programmers coming out of Ankara University and drink cocktails...

Could they just talk to us and not break this comedy

If there is an opportunity, I will look for specifics, but it is not so easy, because I am not a native speaker of Turkish, maybe the Turkish comrades here will make this work easier.

But all this information has already been here, with rare exceptions. For example, I haven't seen any information or photos from a visit to the TaleWorlds office by the Ministry of Information Technology in 2022, and I can't even remember which resource I watched it on.:cautious:

I linked a source in English. So how hard can it be for you to find a source with numbers and figures to back up your claims? You know how to use google right?

Lets start with your first claim;

"First of all, TaleWorlds is state funded (Surprise!).

Yep-Yep, TW is part of the governmental game development program, and therefore is state funded. They don't need to support their game to make an income, and it shows"

So explain this income and numbers of for us...

income and numbers of for us...

Did you say that seriously just now, or kidding ? That's not how it works, to put it mildly.

At least study how public investment and financing work, what can be published and what can't first, before asking such strange questions.

What you found on Google is general information that even a child can understand.

If you're so interested and asking such questions, at least study who was is the Managing Director of TaleWorlds, and what TOGED is as a breakfast.

Still waiting for you to actually back up what you said about they don't need to support their game to make an income. When stating such you would know the income they get right? They can just sit around do nothing and get paid that is what you are saying isn't it? Either you are being false and talking out of your bum, or you have some facts you can share with the rest of us.

I don't know about other platforms, but this patch has made the game near unplayable on Xbox. The AI is completely broken and useless now. Like we got rolled back to 2021 build or something. I've opened a few support threads on it for anyone curious, but the most obvious change is that AI enemies never charge/engage anymore. They always consistently go camp some mountain or the far back corner of the map up against the giant red wall of doom. It's super tedious and boring to play now. Siege AI is also completely broken now. On both sides. Archers like Battian Fians are the new meta on Xbox because of these broken AI changes. They are by far the most effective troops now. Just sit at range and kill the braindead AI. They won't bother fighting back.

Basically, the next update will drop in the middle of June and will just be a bunch of inconsequential bug fixes. A shutdown notice for multiplayer is also likely.
More like fix a few inconsequential bugs and create a bunch of brand new bugs. At least for us console players. The 1.2.12 update completely broke the AI on Xbox and the patch 2 before that broke the Explorer achievement.

If I had just started this game now on Xbox I'd have hated it. It is so so bad since this update.
