Did i say the game was a failure ? i said it's unfinished and you seems to think there is no bug , no problem at all and people should be happy when games are lauched unfinished. It's your choice. If you consider devs interwiew as just talks then yeah then it's just talks and I don't really know why they even answer...
Maybe your not aware that there is more and more subjects as time pass about people wondering what is happening on the game. If you consider that not communicating is a good thing then...i can't understand you.
No game is perfect and no game should be perfect.
But at least they should say game will not receive anymore update .
And yeah look at paradox when they realize dlc with **** ton of bugs they get screwed with comments or when Tww lauch dlc 25% more expensive with 50% less content people are angry is it really a surprise ?

But at least they communicate in a clear way or after some time. talewords have a big issue to not give info and this is my main concern.

Quite sure TW did make their intentions clear with posts further back in this thread right? Anyone can make the argument the game lack x & y, so it must be unfinished. But then you need to find where the dev stated we will give you x & y as well. If a feature or mechanic isn't the way you like it to be that doesn't make it unfinished either. It just make it... something you didn't like. There is a lot of things I would found nice to be added to the game but I have no valid reason to demand it be added. Why there is mods out there to customize the game the way you want it, or even encourage you to learn how to mod yourself to make your own stuff.

I never said there isn't any bugs. I said I haven't experienced any in a very long time. I know very well there is people out there that struggle with even get the game running, why it's important for TW to keep release bug fixes, that have a much higher priority than the wet fantasy of "they need to stop update the game so modders can fix it"

Why should they say the game wont get any more updates, when they stated otherwise further back in this thread? Playing whack a mole daily with "are we there yet" and expecting a new result is a waste of time.

How many of the games released back in 2022 still receive large patches and content updates today? You think a lot of them do as a norm? Chance is majority of the dev teams who made them isn't even around any longer.

I see the devs of Bellwright release 3 beta patches during a weekend meanwhile you have people cry on the steam forum they have abandoned the game because they don't pamper them with updates about he beta branch they been told clearly any news will be posted on their discord. I See games like JA3 people moan the game is abandoned.. because..? No, it was released... it was done.. Browsing the steam forums is like a toxic swamp of moaning and entitlement these days, regardless of what game it is.

Wow dunno if you really believe what you say but that's really crazy and funny at the same time.🤣

It seems like you're pretty young and probably haven't learn yet how to make an argument and keep a discussion on a civil route. Maybe i don't agree 100% on what Gadheras wrote but that's how you make a point. You're probably the only one who's laughing here.

I am laughing cause his is completly ignoring my main point 3 posts in a raw. And you can be as condescendant as you want it will still not make a point.
Talking about negative points in a game is generally to improve the game and make it better.Cause those who lost any hope already left. You don't need to take personnaly or for yourself what i say about this game i am not attacking YOU. And i say it again you have discontent from some players about the game and they are voicing it up ,on steam ,redit and even this forums. The question should not be 'there is nothing to watch or to do just stfu and wait' but why are players disappointed and how can we adress it or not and explain why or simply what we are doing.

As i already said ,i am not expecting a dev diarry but more like a roadmap like his one on 2022 where they listed what they would do and what they could potentially ,EVEN if they didn't made all of it we had an idea what was the direction was:Roadmap 2022.

I seen several posts by TW over time that they keep refer to roadmap in the release plans and nothing changed since then when asked. It's like TW say one thing, it passes through your head, doesn't register, and you keep repeat the question expecting them to say something else.

Lets say I tell you I'm opening up an amusement park. We'll call it... Calradialand. I show you a map of the grounds, tell you that it will have a hot dog stand, a tilt-a-whirl, a ferris wheel, a full experience with classic amusment park stuff!

We'll put aside that for some reason it takes me the better part of a decade to get it completed. But when it does finally open up you and many others excitedly buy tickets. When you get there you see that the grounds are almost entirely empty save for a ferris wheel, a hot dog stand, and a titl-a-whirl.

"Where's the rest of it?" You ask.

"What rest?" I say. "That's everything I told you was going to be here. its not my fault you expected there to be more."

You're frustrated, but you already bought your ticket so you decide to go for a ride on the tilt-a-whirl. So you get in and you sit down and wait. And wait. And wait. And nothings happening. Angry, you ask me what gives.

"What do you mean?" I say. "You're on the tilt-a-whirl."
"When does the ride start?"
"It doesn't have any power." I tell you. "I said there'd be a tilt-a-whirl, i never said it would be on. That's your fault for having expectations beyond what I told you."

On it goes. You go to the hot dog stand and there's no hot dogs. 'I never said it would serve food. I only said there would be a hot dog stand. You just got these big ideas in your head beyond what I promised' you go to the ferris wheel and there's nobody working it. 'When did I tell you there would be workers? I just said a ferris wheel would be here. You read more into it than what I said that's on you.'

By now all of my customers are angry. Many are wondering why it took me so long to make this place when its clearly unfinished. To address those issues, I take the flyer and cross out where it says 'a full experience' and hand it back to you. Safe in the knowledge that I've now amended what I said and nobody should be mad anymore. I have done nothing wrong, any frustration rests solely on the entitled customers whose money I took for having expectations for what an amusment park should have. If people still complain to me, I can simply tell them that not every amusment park needs to offer the same things, and if you aren't satisfied with Calradialand then you should go to six flags or cedar point instead

You resume well the bad faith of the other guy ,even when i show him the roadmap he dare to say that have nothing to do with the game...
And here one of the many vidéos that explain you the problems if you can't understandExt

Man, you are dense. I told you, when TW been asked about a roadmap, they keep refer to the roadmap you did link and said it still applies, nothing changed. Again you just prove whatever just go through one ear and out the next and doesn't register at all.

I guess you don't read my posts this is why you don't understand them...They also said that they could not do everything. So the roadmap become absolete and keep refering at it is as good as a 2018 or 2016 roadmap ,it makes no sense.
And ONCE AGAIN they didn't communicate on the how ,when ,if ,etc or simply didn't make an update.
This is pure bad faith at this point...

Because to the majority of people asking this that answer is not good enough. It barely even qualifies as a roadmap, its a list of fixes and a few minor features with no etas or structure that hasn't been updated in over 2 years. Some of the 'features' that are on that list are things from warband that are still not in bannerlord, despite the game having its "full release" almost two years ago, and others like armor effectivness are things that should have been addressed before the "full release."

Its apalling that nothing has changed in the two plus years since they made their future plans post, despite a supposed "full relase" and multiple updates since then. Pointing to it as an "answer" is just shining a light on the issues people are complaining about here.

Minor? For example the targeting, the ladders that can be pushed, the weather (which wasn't even in the route plan), do you call that minor stuff? Who was in Warband? Stop the bad faith. You haven't restarted Warband Vanilla in a long time! 😅

There definitely has been a lot of progress and changes since the pre-release version of 2020. Sadly a lot of the game still feels like a placeholder and makes me dream about the future possibilities. All those talk options leading to nowhere are killing me

😂😂😂 Good ol' Calradialand

The game is supposedly "fully released" and you're touting things like weather and pushing ladders as huge achievements. Stop and think about that.

No, I don't consider either of those to be particularly noteworthy at this point in development. I would consider those a given in a functioning game of this kind.

Look you got a valid point. I presume you got the game after the full release. Back when it was early access it had like 5 scenes in total. Even the talents were placeholders.

Now seriously, ladder pushing and weather ARE and will always be a huge achievement. I'm kind of defending taleworlds thou i too as a passionate gamer would like to see more stuff coming. Maybe even collaboration with those modding communities that managed to build a whole MMORPG experience over this engine.

Guess not having a publisher takes its toll. I don't remember paradox times, but i can imagine communication was better then.

A game that's "fully released" shouldn't need pending major patches or a roadmap, especially one that's been pending for 2+ years. Are they keeping to the letter of the tin (the 1 or 2 sentences on each thing) from what they put in their roadmap 2 years ago? Sure, in court, they are correct; that sally out feature, from that POV, it could've also just been a button>text result and they would still be in the right based on the roadmap. That's not the challenging aspect we're grasping at.

Even if we take this post-release stuff as freebies like NMS did, NMS acknowledged what they "fully released" was not the expectation of their paying customers; even if they were technically and legally correct. So I know that is a huge reason why all their DLCs were free very early on, and surprised they still are; clearly it's profitable still. Can anyone honestly say TWs is following that route? NMS at least provided communication, info what they are working on, feedback loop for changes, etc...

TW has't put any new work into the game for nearly a year nor do they have any information they can share on it (as they said they would once they can); how many people are on this project? Just the set designer that has yet to complete all the unique scenes as noted in their roadmap 2 years ago? Are there 53 town scenes? Or, would moving a barrel in town to another spot count as a "new scene"? I'm pretty sure we got a flurry of scenes with each patch towards the end of the EA (ie final year), the moment the EA was "fully released", how many did they add to that roadmap element in the 2 years since?

It's not even about the quality at this point, based on their track record for the last 6 years since this game's "unofficial" release; finish the damn game. Star Citizen could say it's "fully released" tomorrow and they would be correct too.

If this patch (if it actually comes ever) is just mainly bug/minor QoL fixes (ie cross-dressing finally fixed?); I'll concede, game is as "complete" as TW can capably reach with this game of theirs and I'll be done. Yet, why are they so damn quiet about it? And why does/should fixing a "complete and fully released game" take over a year? They still waiting/looking to hire someone to fill those positions to continue work on BL as they posted?

The ladders that can be pushed is extremly minor and the weather is also ,extremly minor ,even if it is decent it was normal to add it cause pathfinding was completly bugged and a lot of soldiers were litterally waiting besides the walls to get killed near the ram or the siege towers.
What was a major update to the gameplay was the siege tower working well(pathfinding for units) ,the formation system ,the multi-layer map rework yeah this was going in the good direction and they even started talking more...now it's different.
We don't need massive changes ,we need some fixes ,tweaks ,balance and what was on the roadmap 2 years ago and 4 years ago.(even 6 years for the replay editor).
So yeah i would like to know if what they promise will come out ,or not and if it comes out then when. I mean just a year to know what to expect.
Oh and mods aren't mean to fix bugs or fix balance ,or gameplay loops but to add content or change the player experience...

I actually got bannerlord the day the early access launched. The new scenes are nice, don't get me wrong. Art department for this game does tend to do a pretty good job. But my thoughts at the time of the game's early access was that the gameplay was very barebones, but that was okay because we're in early access. But four years on and the gameplay is still essentially the same. I spent over a year going 'okay well I'll hold off playing until the update that really gives me something to sink my teeth into.' A year turned into 2, 2 turned into 4, and the kinds of things that need changing to make this more than a shallow endless battle simulator have not changed, and based on what little we can glean from TW statements, its not going to.

Why should ladder pushing be held up as some major accomplishment? Its a pretty basic feature all things considered, I honestly don't understand why its something I should be praising them for. As for weather there's two parts to that. The graphic side, which can look nice sure, and the gameplay side which is what? A handful of modifiers to unit stats?

Well then my friend we are in the same boat, lets hope for the best and see something we are passionate about rise up to our expectations.
