Patch Notes v1.2.10-1.2.11

Users who are viewing this thread

I can't provide an ETA yet but it's very unlikely that it will be released by the end of August. We will likely be able to share more about the patch some time before it releases into Beta.

For the more immediate future, we've also been working on a Multiplayer refactor aimed at addressing lobby-related issues. As it contains a number of risky changes, we'll first be looking to move it into Beta and test it with the community.

In the meantime, we can look into any issues you might be facing, or if you'd like us to relay specific feedback or suggestions - happy to do that as well.
So, probably by September?

Can you tell us what major features you guys trying to input in game? Or what you guys trying to change? We know for years that same bad mechanics has endured, so what would change?

Also, would be nice to know if bug reports of the same things are being tackled, like the lack of profit on workshops one of the major issues for economy; clone children; lack of diplomacy; the problem on peace negotiation and constant wars right after one ended with the same faction; unable to recruit landless lords or factionless lords, etc; I also remember that on Dev diary you guys said that AI would be a competitive force for the player regarding economy will this be introduced?

Can you give some points on what you guys working on? Perharps with you telling us what has been the focus for TW a lot of player here who genuily wants help can point out thing they saw in the game, or even better provide you guys with simple solutions they have modded or seen on mods, since the mods is prorpety of TW and you guys can use on the game.

You'd have more success squeezing water from stone.

Doesn't mean it'll be in September either. Just means they're in vacation mode and putting the "won't be this month" (as expected, on nth page of thread in the middle of the month) to now include August too.

So the next 'update', which will just be a "won't be this month / we will share once we have more info", will be on page 40 of this thread in mid-September.

The next patch will be released no earlier than September-October and it will be released first into beta testing. When the patch is ready, it will be announced in the discussions.
The changes will be related to the multi-user mode, but the elimination of the shortcomings of the single-user mode will not be canceled if there are complaints about the shortcomings.
Yes, measures have been taken to simultaneously release the patch on all platforms.
Is that clearer?

Not another refactor

Look, I know the last one took about a year. During which there was dead silence from the devs and also since that refactoring there has been no update to the game even though that was kind of the POINT of refactoring.

But trust me, Refactor 2 - Electric Booglaloo is definitely going to be worth it...

Isn't it refactor 3? There was one in like the first year of the game, wasn't there?

Never hurt to ask politely.

@Dejan @Piconi give us insight in here, don't leave us dry, make us wet

I can confirm that it's unintended and will be fixed with a future patch. In the meantime, if you're feeling crafty, feel free to venture into the Modules/SandBoxCore/ModuleData/items/head_armors.xml and adjust the following value for the helmets that aren't available from false to true. Though it might get overriden with any updates (or file validation).
Code:
is_merchandise="false" -> is_merchandise="true"

End of August, that puts us close to a whole year since that last meaningful update.....this cannot be real

I hope the new update arrives with the servers for South America. It would be very bad if they let the players spend 30.00usd each month for an unofficial server, what punishment did taleworlds give us

Lmao I got my comment deleted for inappropriate behaviour, I wished videogames companies would get issued the same way for inappropriate treatment of players

They are still checking which server provider they can use, give them some time.

@Duh_TaleWorlds and the other devs... why this patch is taking so long?

Or it'll be a huge patch basically changing everything on the game play or you guys are having some difficulties on this. Why are you guys forbidden to talk to us about this?

It's taking so long because their current Bannerlord work force is one 14 year-old called Gorkan.

Hardly anyone is working on bannerlord. That is SO OBVIOUS.

Guys, let the game die. Let the dream die. And Hopefully TaleWorlds will slowly slide into oblivion / bankruptcy. It's time to move on.

Bury the poor dog. It's dead.

Wait, what? They hired a 14 year old? Is this true? Is it even legal?

Thanks Devs for continuing to make this game better with updates.

I can't understand why everyone moans all time about progress so on won't solve anything.

Have Devs considered maybe setting up a go fund page or subscription service were players donate money per month to help with cost off hiring new developers or funding future progression for the game

I would be happy to pay a monthly subscription if it meant more updates and packs got out faster and was off larger quantity and quality.

Just a idea instead of everyone complaining about purchasing of a unfinished game, blah blah blah repetitive winging gets no progress.

How about true bannerlord fans who want this game to progress further could donate and no I'm not on about modding community adding to the game, I mean wish cash.

I for one like to see actual updates to the game from the Devs and not the modders as play on Xbox one.

Look forward to next update Devs keep up great work there are people who appreciate your brilliant game thank you and hey end august or later in only few more weeks of your life to wait for another update hopefully its not long just ride the game out and enjoy it for what it is till then, if not play something else lol

People complain about comments not getting replied to and lack off response update. I think this is unreasonable there over 200 thousand members of course Devs can't reply to everyone. If taleworlds, devs want to keep there updates information quite to release that's is down to them. Stop asking complaining it's pointless.

Now that I have been freed from my shackles of muteness and my fair comments deleted by moderators who spend more time moderating the forums than community managers do engaging with their community, I will ask two less loaded, more simple questions, and I will give you the option to answer only one if you wish. I think that is more than fair?

Question 1:
@Dejan, will you release a Dev Diaries video showcasing the next large patch (I presume will be 1.3), prior to its release like TW used to do?

It has been stated, but rarely ever followed through that TW are happy to answer any questions we have on a game we paid for over 4 years ago, so my second question is:

Question 2:
For a texted-based RPG, there is eh...very little text. Can you confirm, if even one extra line of dialogue will be added to the game in the next major patch (1.3)?

I don't think calling the devs "dip****s" and "useless pricks"--and repeatedly dodging the swear filter to do so--is considered fair commentary by most people, not to mention the rules of this forum. Your post was deleted rather than merely pruned of insults because it offered nothing else.

Well, you only get about 10 minutes of my day on average. This place isn't exactly poppin.
