Patch Notes v1.1.0

Earlier today the game on the Xbox Series S updated from 1.0.3 to 1.1.0. So my game updated normally and it just popped up a windows and I loaded my save file, then after I played normally without any issues. Now it seems that the developers downgraded their update back to 1.0.3 and all my saves that were on the version 1.1.0 doesnt work anymore. I've got the game recently, and had a lot of progress just to lose all the hours i've put into the game. What a slap in the face. I've always played Warband and never had a issue like this.
Welcome to taleworlds console experience. I bought this **** full price preorder. This is my third attempt to play this game after my first 2 campaigns got corrupted. Haven't even been able to play the game and it's already free on game pass lmao.

For console people who cant play their saves. It could be that TW reverted you back to 1.0.3 after 1.1.0 was a failure for you. Just be aware that you can go back in patches with saves but should almost always be able to go ahead in patches. So once 1.1.0 is fixed you "should" be able to play your saves again. Someone from TW should have said this instead of me. So just wait a bit for 1.1.0 to be available and I bet you will have our saves back.........I hope
Yea they reverted Xbox only back. Apparently game wouldn't even start up for many people. Was working for me, but seems they forgot to fix multiple of the bugs they said they fixed for Xbox. Would've been fun to test how many, but my only option now is uninstall for another couple months or make my 4th attempt to play a campaign :ROFLMAO:

Would be nice to hear from the company who sold me this product if they have an eta for a fix, but I'm not holding my breath.

This is why you don't give companies an undeserved 4 star rating, nothing to work for.

streamed for 12 hours, as far as PC only 2 issues. in one battle the IA refused to use 2 sets of ladders, it appeared one guy want causing a pathing issue, but it was only 1 battle. The bigger issue was a fellow vassal was raiding a village and got attacked. I went in the join in and save him and I got no prisoners or loot screen. This was reported by someone else in my stream. But for 12 hours that was it. no negative relation issues, pausing, glitching bug or crashes. Granted this was PC, console people reported much worse.
Did they fix the crafted weapon weight increase bug on pc? We still had it on Xbox, paired with the fact I crash almost hourly on XBSS I have to recraft my whole clans weapons more than once a day if I play very long or else they have 30 weight polearms lol

Did you get the pre-battle setup when you did? None of the battles I done today where I joined an existing fight I had pre-battle formations. Just get tossed right into the frey with 3 standard formations of infantry, ranged and cav.

PC, recent months playing the live 1.0.3 series, over a thousand game days now, finally set with the most appealing 8 Companions I desired via save scumming - milking the Lost Daughter quests over and over .......... as well, my Clan now has 15 kids, working on more, always on the lookout for fresh attractive young wives ( retiring the older ones via save - scumming " death in childbirth ", sounds awful but it was indeed a frighteningly common c. " one in ten " risk historically ), all in all sort of amusing myself in this very low key Campaign .........well, to each his own ( I mean, the game, still, isn't much good for anything else ).

Then this Steam 1.1 ambush just autodownloaded this morning without me noticing, had no inkling that this was even close, considering all the beta issues.

So, now ..... the recurring Update dilemma - because, exactly because, this is " 1.1 Live " I can seamlessly continue my precious " 1.03 Live " Save Game into " 1.1 ", right ?

I don't even care if , if I don't start a New Game, the ( dodgy ? ) new 1.1 features are somehow not fully implemented in a continuation of an old save game ; I just don't want to let go my carefully curated hottest Companions ( and wives ), to have to start crafting my Clan all over again !

Played the update for three hours and encountered no real bug so far, except for Rhagaea's hair clipping through the crown.

What I like are the added tooltips on various occasions.

What I dislike is not the hero-Fog of War per se, but the fact that if you see a hero on the global map, you can't tell if you miss his info and should go to meet him, or if you already know and so can ignore him. It would be good, if there would be an icon or something, to tell you if it's a known or a stranger hero.
Great idea!

Dejan, MArdA, all devs, thanks for all of your ongoing work to make BL great.

I just had a look around in 1.1 Live. Sadly, the aforementioned 1.0.3 exploit ( if it was ) for the quest Wants His Daughter Back, as a way to generate new female Wanderers that then could join your party, if you talked to them on a second visit, has been "closed off " for 1.1.

This is the opposite of an " improvement ", as that option , borderline bug or no, was a great way to give fantastic agency to the player to shape their Party / Clan looks and skills in their own customised way ( admittedly, by a process of quitting without saving, and reloading, but that is how everything in your game is currently best handled, from battles to marriage, to tournament prizes, to births and deaths ........ and at the end of the day, this is a player's prerogative).

I can only beseech you, on behalf of all of us who are interested in having that freer hand in choosing our Companions ( a very good immersive thing for this game ), that you have another look at this tiny and harmless " ex - feature " ( that really added a bit of life and fun and interest to the role playing narrative ) and next patch reinstate it, just the way it was, please.

I do feel very strongly about this.

Agree. The missing daughter companions was worth the hunt.

Oof. I really hope the team is planning on implementing a spy network that gathers information on Notable NPC's, cause having to run around and meet every single NPC, is well, yikes.
This 100%. I like the idea of a realistic fow, but there should be systems in place to work with it. An npc minister or spy master in your court would be best.

Yes i did. I didn't find from there
Could you open a thread about this here?
This bug was only partially fixed. It's now possible to interact with the siege engines right at the start of the Order of Battle deployment, but as soon as you select a troop formation the engines become uninteractable.
I can confirm that we have reproduced this issue and the fix is now in progress. Thank you for the report.
Reporting from console Xbox s/X. One player says he starts the game up after update on load up screen it just goes straight to dashboard.

Gamertag : Dark1NATE
I have this on Game Pass for Xbox One, and since the update I’ve been unable to launch the game. Just keeps sending me back to the dash. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling then did everything Xbox support suggested to no avail.
Hi,

Is there any ETA on console fixes? The update broke Xbox series X game. Cannot play unless updating and the update prevents game from starting. Seems like there is a lot of this known issue for console.
After the rollback of the last patch on xbox platforms, you should be able to launch the game without crashing for now. You can find more info about the rollback here.
Hey one question, will captain mode on multiplayer be fixed too? At the moment you cannot create groups to join a captain game. If you want to join a captain game with friends, you have to press "find game" at the same time with your friends to get in a game together. And even then it is not guranteed that all will get into one game. If this could get fixed, that would be great! Also will be player hosted servers be implemented? That would enable clan battles between clans in multiplayer.
It would be great if you can open a thread in here with more details we would be happy to help.
@MArdA TaleWorlds are the duped children fixed yet?

Also any news on hiring mercenaries through a governor or something?
Children bug is still in progress. Don't have any knowledge about the mercenaries sadly.

What was the castle/town that AI refuse to use the ladders? It might be a map issue rather than AI in particular. Will forward the vassal issue. IT would be great if you can open a thread about it with a save file.

Thank you for your kind words. I will inquire about it but as you can read above as well it would be great if you can open a thread here so that we can file it in as a bug report in the system. It won't be easy to discuss it in this topic as the main issue is not the bug.

After reading alot of your answers it appears as if you're telling us that there are reasons for these seemingly idiotic AI decisions -we just cant see or know them as they exist only in Debug.
There are a lot of variables that change in every battle you play that decides how AI works. We can't reproduce any battle one-to-one. There are reasons why AI decided something in particular but it is not like we program the AI to do idiotic things. Their actions depend on a lot of different values and variables. It might be an issue with the map. It might be an issue that is related to the campaign map side. Or it might be an issue with AI for sure. We need more details so that we can try to reproduce and understand what went wrong. Cheers

Is there an eta for return of 1.1? A lot of us can no longer access our campaigns due to save converting to 1.1 module.

Sadly we can't share any ETA. But we are working very hard to bring it back as soon as possible.

The party AI for decissions on the world map could need some improvement, Watch a party engage another next to a large army just to end up get demolished by said army seems like lack of total awareness.

I posted a thread already on there

If you go to Technical support>Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord>Multiplayer

Its called "Captain mode and player hosted servers on xbox".

There are a lot of variables that change in every battle you play that decides how AI works.

It would be good if we as players could get some idea of these variables - in an immersive way of course:

"My Lord it seems their fear of our archers has them running for the forest."
"The cowards seek out the hill to avoid the lances of our cavalry."
"Our overwhelming numbers have panicked them into retreating towards their reinforcements."
"Ah, [LordName] has let his impulsion get the better of him and is recklessly charging us."
etc.

These lines could be said by Captains, Companions, Sergeants, even common Soldiers as appropriate (and with varying degrees of accuracy). Or if it is too complex to do in battle let it be conveyed in an after battle report, during or after the loot screen.

would really love this. But only sporadically, otherwise it would become annoying.
