Patch Notes e1.2.0 & Beta e1.3.0

This is called putting a band-aid on a bullet wound.

If anything, slightly lowering the menavlion's length makes it more wieldy in a team melee fight. The problem has always been these long goofy-looking sticks one-shot everything -and do it far better than their 2H cousins like axes, swords, hammers, voulges, and falxes. The modest damage reduction did little to reduce their devastating power.

And when did the menavlion's swing speed get raised to 83? What is going on here?
it took power off the courser

Cant load any game after day 400. Save 6 for me doesnt work(day 475), auto save doesnt work(day 470). Save 5 works which is on day 375. Made a save 7(day 402), doesnt work.

Just crashes to desktop.

I`m on the 20th something crash today... Always engaging looters or trading... Any chance this game will actually work decently in the next century?

Why did copy paste get removed from the banner editor? It makes zero sense, you're just removing features here instead of improving the game.

Indeed. If it isn't a mistake, then you have to wonder about their priorities. :cautious:

Where do I begin. 1.3 is an utter mess. I would STRONGLY suggest to stay away from it if you haven't yet.

Just some major issues, not going to include the hundreds of minor issues:

I have broken countless saves. Every time they release a patch it breaks my save. I have had to start over three times and at some point all my saves will break, it is just a matter of time.
I have my own empire and for some reason now it takes MILLIONS of gold to recruit heros. It was not like that until recently. And once you do recruit them, they leave shortly after even if I boost my raiting with influence with them to 100.
Half of my encyclopedia is broken. Wanderers, for the most part, have no stats. My children, when they get old enough, are stuck at HOLDING forever. I cannot bring them into my party, I cannot find them where it says they are. I cannot make them governors.

I have not changed my mods. I have running almost flawlessly since "launch" with my mod setup which is like 5 mods, nothing crazy. 1.3 broke everything.

Oh and cities around the map (this sounds like it is intended) never have more than 10k gold. I have to go around the map after a battle just to sell all my stuff.

1.3 is broken in so many ways. I'm glad they have fixed the battle lag that was happening, but everything else is a mess.

Absolutely nothing good came out of 1.3. It broke everything for me and for a lot of others as well.

Fun game until this patch, tho. Why it was released, even for public testing, is mind boggling and lazy. Test your stuff a bit more instead of rushing out a patch that breaks everything every two days. Do once a week patches and test the stuff internally a bit more. All of this stuff could have easily been found out if you have your internal guys just play for a couple days.

The patch really isn't that broken. Have you tried playing on a new save and without mods? I have and I haven't ran into any game breaking bugs so far. I wager that your problems are caused by save game compatibility and/or mods that are no longer compatible with this new patch.

^^^^, odds are you choosing to use mods is the problem as I too haven't had many big issues with 1.3

Here is what I've seen so far....

For starters... I play with no mods.

Workshop income appears to be nerfed. I have an olive press in Jaculan and a wood workshop in Ocs Hall. Both have several towns supplying raw materials and income from each varies between 100 and 170 dinars per day... Perhaps I'm doing it wrong...but it shouldn't take 130 ish days to break even.

Many heroes are broken...they don't show up in the encyclopedia and if you see them in the tavern tab, and you right click for info on them, you get a random noble who is non-interactive. If you just go and try to recruit them, they will be recruitable but you will be recruiting them blind. The bug where you assign a party member to deal with a problem and they wander of to Ain Boliq, (they just disappear, they aren't at Ai Boliq) is still there.

Many skills have been made harder to level. Charm among them... You don't get points for barters anymore it seems. Roguery was fixed, but you only get points for ransoming prisoners for a short time...Smithing is still not worth the time. Weapon skills level slower it seems. etc.

The spy among us quest works. Numerous other quests are still bugged, ie. the deliver garrison troops quest, and the deliver weapons for to x gang.

Yeah, I did that after my first save broke when they released the first minor patch. I started new with no mods, then they released the second minor patch for 1.3 and that save broke. So, I assumed it wasn't my mods doing it and have since been using my mods. I have been running with mods pretty good today with no crash issues, but the non-crash issues are still there. It is utterly impossible to do your own Kingdom since I cannot recruit vassals. I have like 200 charm and I have no problem convincing them to join, but it costs millions, and once I save up enough to get one, they almost immediately leave even if I get their rep with me to 100. I lost out on all the gold and influence I used on them. It happens every single time. I even gave one a city and they just took it and left.

I had a few broken saves but not all of them (just 2 + the autosave feature). I can suggest you check your integrity files if you`re on steam, if not, a proper reinstall...

Right, the first 1.3 patch came with big issues of its own and the hotfix that addressed those was not save game compatible with games started with the original version. And yes, starting your own kingdom is still very much a mess.

Hello.
When it comes to workshops , my findings are similar. I was also trying picking a workshop type that can be supplied raw mats by nearby towns.
However this doesn't seem to work that well anymore or its just RNG.
After toying a bit , i reinvested into other shops. For example , khuzhait town at the edge of the map that had flax. I open a clothier , i get like ~50g.
I reinvest into a tannery , i get 450g. Dunno why , imo just buy a workshop on your safest towns and change it once or twice till you hit the spot.
Make sure you let them run a few days before you decide.
In the long term , it defo worths the money investment. You might end up spending +6k g , but you'll get 5+++x money when you find the right one.
I wish someone figures out how exactly it works and posts a guide eventually.
Imo , it seems to be a matter of supply and demand , which is hard to analyze.

I agree with everything you said more or less.

My first playthrough I actually beat the game and recruiting vassals was hard, but it cost between 500k and 1 mil, not multiple millions. And they stuck with me if I got them to like me. Now, they just leave. There has to be some change that was implemented that is unintentionally breaking relations with your vassals.

And I always have multiple saves and backups. This is not my first rodeo. When they do a minor patch it breaks them all. Every single one of them if I started a new playthough on 1.3. Now, I can actually play some older saves that were started before 1.3 even if I upgrade to 1.3, which is odd that a beta version has compatibility issues with it's own patches and not previous versions. The original 1.3 beta [atcj was just a mess I guess.

Why did copy paste get removed from the banner editor? It makes zero sense, you're just removing features here instead of improving the game.

Patch Notes be like:

"Sorry, we´ve noticed that you liked that feature so we removed it. But no worries, we added new bugs in exchange."

At least a mod can fix this:

For Charm, you do get skill ups now for doing the village quests, for example Family Feud. You also get skill ups for releasing prisoners. Yes, you do not get charm for Free barters or Low value barters, but you should for large barters.
