Well, runing the Native.exe finally lets me run the game again.
Too bad I'm not playing it without mods.

I'm gonna try clearing a 51-person forest bandit hideout again now, but I feel like these nerfs are still not enough, especially since bandits there are grouped in large packs of 15-20 persons each.

How about you add scaling to the number of troops our characters take on clearing the hideouts relative to the number of actual bandits there? That would be really useful

Just have the bandits come and go more often. They CAN leave the camp to go on raids.

PROTIP: Check nearby villages. If any of them have a Problem with Bandits quest, accepting it will trigger the bandits to leave the camp, leaving only 3-4 behind.

  • Changed the name of a Tier 2 spear that was named “Knight’s Lance” to “Western Short Spear”.

Thanks, that one was really bugging me until I learned to look for the couch tag.

Keep up the amazing job

It's so nice to see an active studio that are connected to its users. Great job!

Hard disagree.
Getting XP from the arena should be grindy or else its too OP. The arena would just become an XP farm for every early game.

So what ? It was literally meant to be like that in Warband, and it made little sense that we didn't have that here. Aside of that, what do you suppose would be the point of tournaments and training fights if not to train your fighting skills ? That's not only a mechanics question, but also a rl based one: "grinding EXP" as you call it is the literal point of things like this.

Well I tried training field.
No xp gain on skills at all.
Or do I need a new game for it to work?

Edit: Just realized this may only work in the training matches in the arenas?

Niomedes, totally agree! We should get xp from training. That is what everyone does if they want to be better at what they do.
Musicians, boxers, coders, painters, athletes they all train to become better at what they do.

I think that's it. The field itself is just a tutorial.

The entire game is a grindy XP farm. You just described the entire core gameplay loop of M&B and what it is all about. What is it to you to do the less efficient, more boring way? The arena fights themselves mean you will get less money and less XP out of it than by any other means per spent minute, but it could allow you to train specific weapons you have issues training in battle or allow you to get money XP in a pinch, maybe after losing a major fight early on, at least that would be a good role for it.

e1.0.7 is in beta tab on steam.

Seriously, patch a day is getting me so spoiled. Keep up the awesome work you guys are doing! ^^
