When i press the create Kingdom button in the Clan tab, i get to choose between 2 factions (Empire or Sturgia), once i press "next" game crashes 100% of the time.

I fixed my save by talking BOTH to Istiana and Arzagos, regardless of which path you're going to take. AFTER talking to them make peace with every faction you're at war with currently, otherwise it will still crash.

I can confirm. You must make peace before creating kingdom to not crash the game.
But now I have a bug with clan independence. I can't complete this requirement.

I'm at peace with everyone and it still crashes. Also why do we need to talk to Arzagos and Istiana? I thought Create Kingdom button is independent of the story and you can do it whenever you're eligible and don't have to follow the quest.

i similarly face the crash on kingdom creation, but my clan is not at war with any major faction. However, I am at war with 3 minor factions, but I thought maybe i should go make peace with them. But since they are with another faction, i cannot get the option to make peace. Plus, since I have killed off the minor faction leader, it seems I cant hire them to break the vassalage either... guess im stuck...

Update: instead of exiting the game, i thought I have give it one last try and since it would crash me out, doesnt matter anyway.... tried it and it didnt crash! no idea what is different, still at war with the minor factions, but they are all under vassalage, maybe when i tried previously, one of them was not under vassalage?

They released a hotfix to fix this specific issue
