Passworded duel servers

I want to know what you guys think.

Well I thinks its a better idea to put a pass on.  If you use "duel" as a pass then people would still probably get in and break the rules.  So I think it would be a better idea to use a pass that the person would have to go on the clans website or thread to find.  Also if they do that then they might find the rules and read them.

Well what I was thinking is, since the password would be "duel", they've already figured out that hey... it is a duel server... that's my two cents on it.

Most of the time, randomers on duel servers know exactly where they are and what they are doing : they're here to ruin people's fun for their own childish little pleasure...So put "duel" as a password for duel servers won't serve as a warning as those randomers are already aware of where they set foot.
I'd rather have a password put on this forum in a specific thread for each server, or even by asking the admin of the server. A bit elitist, but if that's the cost for real duels without been interrupted, I'm ready to accept it...

I'm going with Calodine on this  - if you have enough admins you don't need to password-protect. Also, since most duelling servers are set up as public places where anyone can join in, it seems a little mean on any new players, who may not know the ropes as much and so won't go looking for the password, to have to miss out on the entire duelling experience just because a few malcontents wish to spoil everyone's fun.

That's what I think everyone should do.

if u do decide to use a password like "duel" or "duels_only" then punishment on offenders should be a lot harsher

That's what I think everyone should do.

The problem with that is when there's a duel server open for public, the passworded ones rarely get players.

22nd server became enjoyable once they gave every single 22nd member admin rights. The griefers started getting permabans all around, and it's been quite backstabber free whenever I've been there.

Not enough admins, usually. And it's still rife with assholes. That said, I do love the people that aren't assholes, there.
