Password for Cossack special quest

So I've gotten the password for whats meant to be written on the cannons, (from a few different lords) for the special quest to pick up the King's secret cash stash, but when I get to the Village Elder I don't have the option to tell him that password.

Bug? Or am I missing something.

i think you need the password from the French, the Cossacks who gave you the mission don't know the pass word, i forget what it was but ask a french person

Well when i had that mission i had to go to lord of each faction. Not king any lord will do and only the fourth lord who was Russian gave me correct password.
What did that lord told you.....
