this is my first post in this forum and I believe it will be not the last one....
1. I love this Game, the setting, the combat system, the free gameplay and the PRICE ...,
2. I know, M+B is UNDONE and this is GREAT, because there is enough Room / Space for a lot of changes, a lot of CUSTOMIZING....
3. Here are my Suggestions for the next or the final Version:

a) I find it boring in Battles, that i can´t see, who is the dammed Enemy Party Leader...
... its a great Problem if you should capture a special UNIT (like the Khan, or a Captain, Chieftain and so on)
==> A Star Symbol (like in Medieval Total War) that Indicates the Party Leader and tells me, now is the time to switch your Weapon and hunt down this guy....
b) If there is a Party Leader (and I believe every bunch of men has a leader), so he is special...
... special in the way that he is the HEAD of his Troop and like a decaptive man, a Troop without a Head is less "effective"
==> If you kill (or capture) the Leader, the troop (or a part) starts to flee, surrenders (next point c) or fights less effective
You see, I suggest a Moral System for enemy Troops; every Unit should have an own amount of Moral Points ( better Troops =more moral points) .
During Battle, these Points can sink or raise; if the Points reaches zero, the Unit flees, surrenders or fight less effective.
The Points sinks, if the losses are very high, the enemy army has a high advantage (in the number of man, the Quality of men or the Tactic of the Leader)
==> If the Complete Moral Points of an Army reaches 1/4 of the starting amount, the fight is over and a part flees, a part can be taken as prisoners ....
But these are only a few possibilities of a Moral System!
c) Surrender, I am bored that small enemy Partys , those who are significantly outnumbered (in men and or quality) don´t surrender to my superior forces or at least offer me an amount of gold or goods or Slaves in the hope that I spare their lifes ....

d) Why there is no Option to buy slaves / Prisoners from friendly Partys?
I think, this would be a great option to restock(if you buy a Prisoner its the same like to free them..) the own War Party with high quality Troops.
But not for a standard price, NO, the quality of the unit sets the Price
(you will pay for a peasant 10 denares, for a river pirate 15, a sea raider 50 and so on....)
So these are my whishes / suggestions for this Great Game. If these Suggestions are Usefull or if they Realizable, this is not my task to decide.
