That's some magic spider bite.

Did the spider bite actually have anything to do with his recovery? Or was it just that they noticed the spasm in Hospital, where he happened to be 'cos of the bite?

Holy ****.  It's like a physically retarded version of spider-man.

Radioactive spider bites kick ass!

Blancarte's dreams may have to wait. He was arrested Friday (3/13) on an outstanding warrant stemming from a domestic abuse case.

HA!

Actually the arrest apparently has to do with a contempt charge. Doesn't say anything about the actual case.

How the **** can he abuse his family when he can't walk? All they have to do is put the brakes on his wheelchair, step a few feet back and pull faces at him.

I say that the spider gave him super powers so he got a little rougher then he was supposed to be.

I'd be curious to know how the spider bite facilitated his recovery, or if it was as CA said, and simply the media (in plain American style), giving little information and much sensationalism.

His condition was the result of a motorcycle accident, and the doctors told him that his legs were unresponsive when he regained consciousness, so...
I doubt it.

Bull****.

Clearly the damaged caused by the accident was repaired in the twenty years since and the eight months of rehab therapy is what brought him to notice it. The spider is completely ****ing irrelevant, even if the venom had any effect on him it wouldn't magically repair a spinal injury.

If you've been paraplegic for twenty years it'll take a few months of physical therapy for the limbs to become responsive again, even after the damaged nerves in your spine have recovered.

Just the usual ****ty media slapping the word "miracle" on something to get ratings.

I was under the impression that the rehab took place after the spider bite.

Ever since, David's been relying on his wheelchair to get around. Then the spider bite. A Brown Recluse sent him to the hospital, then to rehab for eight months.
