Very true, but I don't ever really regret the latter.

Neither do I regret the former, though.

Well, I've written two pages for my thesis break, and I have a headache from all the crap I've been making up.

I didn't ***** at anyone. I just said that I left it to the last minute because I'm burned out from school. Perhaps you're getting confused in your supremacy complex. Now I have *****ed at someone.

Dare I risk it, they're just tests.

Or if they are really important, then you shouldn't be getting set essays.

Or, you just suck at managing time. Ask for an extension, so you can take your time in writing it rather than spewing lots of stuff about nothing.

SATs, ACTs, other tests that are required by our school to graduate, as well as other school-wide tests. SATs were like 5 hours, ACTs were similar, the other tests amounted to a total of 20 hours.

I always write my essays by spewing lots of stuff about nothing.

No, she's doing it right, a lot of people spew losts of stuff about nothing, I do it, and I get an A+ every time :p

Talk about a broken system. But I digress...

2 pages of unhelpful comments!

Merc, each one of those topics on your list would be a full-blown paper. You need to pick one, and focus sharply on that and that only.

Personally I would investigate the cultural impact of the two gulf wars on the domestic US perception of foreign affairs, and just use a chronological survey of how it evolved from Bush I to the Obama era. What caused the shift in public sentiment from strongly pro-war to strongly anti-war. How are the two wars were different from a cultural perspective. Simple obvious stuff.

Here's another easy thesis:
"Warfare against the USA in recent decades has been more often decided on the battlefield of cultural influence rather than with military, political or economic tactics. Discuss with reference to the effectiveness of tactics and strategies employed in the two gulf wars, the war in afghanistan, and domestic and foreign anti-terrorism efforts."

Two wars? Only the Desert Storm from 1991 is mentioned.
I also see the topic as being overly huge, and would choose to focus on one aspect.

fisheye <-- reading comprehension fail.

Ignore everything I said.

Anyway Merc if your school is so rubbish that its libraries close on memorial day, Google Scholar is your friend.

Here's a good one I found just by typing "Desert Storm" in Google scholar:

It's ridiculous that you're even doing school work Merc. Just go into class tomorrow and just be like "kekeke, i didn't get to do my paper teacher i'm sooooo sorry" and then take off your shirt. I'd give you TWO A's. One for each titter you stick in my face.

And that's the main reason you aren't a school teacher.

EDIT: unfortunately.

Hey, what can I say? I'm just a man who loves his Merc titters.

Yeah. I know. I'm up at 5 pages, and I've done two paragraphs. I'm focusing [heavily] on government propaganda, political motivations for President George H.W. Bush to have initiated the assault on Iraq, and whether the decision not to depose Saddam Hussein was motivated by money, since the American government was selling arms to both Iran and Iraq, who were fighting each other with American weapons, as well as the oil embargo being imposed by OPEC.

I'm dedicating one paragraph to each one. My paragraphs are several pages long.

I'm annoyed at this book too. A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn.

Heh. I had a paper due a couple weeks ago that I didn't finish on time, but I got to turn it in a week later. With computers, printers, word processors, flash drives, compatibility issues, there's always some buyable excuse. I told my teacher my printer wasn't working so I frantically tried to save it on my flash drive so I could print it out at school. Then I told her that I had several saves and and because I was just so tired, etc., I accidentally copied over an earlier version and the page I printed wasn't finished (I had managed to actually do about half of it). This was the Friday before a week off, and when I tired to email it to her, she said she couldn't open it and to bring it the day we returned.

So yea, just come up with some detailed complex lie that no one would suspect you made up.

Iran-Iraq War ended years before Desert Storm.
