Back when I still had a Windows 95 my Mother used to love this game, she would play it for hours on end, however, she recently decided she would like to play it again, after searching my house for a bit, we discovered that it was nowhere to be found, and had most likely been left behind when we moved. So I am now asking if anybody here has any idea where I can obtain a new copy, either free (Do Not Even Suggest Piracy) or purchased for a reasonable price. My Mother's Birthday is coming up on August 13th, so that is why I am asking.

If you have an answer to my first question, I would also like to know how I could get it running on either an XP or Windows 7, as from my experience, the game is for a much older system. I thank you for any help in advance.

I think it's out of production so you won't be finding it cheap.

I've never used Amazon or sites like it, and I'm not sure that I really trust them, do you happen to know of any other site to buy it from?

Amazon is one of the best places to buy from and hard not to trust. I've been their customer for years and I can say I am very happy with their service.

Ebay has it much cheaper, would you reccommend them as well? Or is Ebay a bad idea?

It depends on the eBay user that is selling the product, check their ratings from other buyers and see if you want to risk it. With eBay, you're buying from an ordinary person so there is a higher risk and no guarantees (sometimes companies sell their products on eBay, but check the ratings either way). Amazon is a professional company, so if you want to play it safe, you'd best go with them. But you should have no problems with eBay if you buy wisely and check the customer complaints and ratings.

How does payment with Amazon work? Do I need to register an account? Do I need to use a Debit/Credit card, or can I pay with cash? The reason I ask this is if I ask for my parents card and then put the money in their account, my mom may see the transaction and there goes the surprise.

Yes, you need to register an account. They accept debit and credit. I think they accept Paypal, but that method still remains somewhat round about IIRC. (I use debit, so I don't know how the Paypal works...)
No cash, just the methods listed above.

I see, well, I'll tell my dad what's up, and why we can't let my mom know what I'm purchasing.

Paypal is basically a postponed debit.
They pay the person you're buying from and then take the money from your account. Giving both sides a safehouse when **** goes wrong. I.e. the ebay seller trying to **** with you.

I've not had any issues with Ebay, a lot of companies sell their merchandise on there as well.

As stated, check user reviews, chances are if they're overwhelmingly positive you won't get screwed.
