Palisade around villages

So i was thinking that during Viking/Saxon England some small villages had wooden palisades around villages, nothing truly formidable just wooden palisade the height of a man(more to stop animals and small raiding parties getting in) , what would everyone's thought be if that was added on?

Wouldn't stop or even slow down a true army but could be interesting.

Also to any modder's on here do you think it would be possible to add?

Should be very easy. As long as there's already a wooden palisade asset in the game, it just has to be added to the village scenes. It depends on whether you want it to be a gameplay mechanic as well, because simply adding it to the scene wouldn't make a difference in gameplay other than hindering the attackers' entry into the village in battle scenes.

A lot of villages would have had a palisade around the entire village, others would have a central "keep" or enclosed village center that the population could flee to in case of trouble. Many would have the buildings on the outskirts arranged to provide some protection, so only a handful or so of entry points between them would need to be defended, some of those blocked by walls or fences. As said, it wouldn't stop a determined army, but would be enough to provide some protection against small bandit raids or wild animals by channeling the attack into 2-3 entry points, or at least slowing down the attackers while they climbed the obstructions. Communities were rarely left totally open to attack in that timeframe.

It'll be a quite easy thing for modders - seems only a scene edit needed honestly. I do miss the idea of being able to upgrade villages to castles though, was a nice thought when it was first known but later scrapped.
