Hey all, I was playing mount&blade last night when it occurred to me how ridiculous it was that you could carry large amounts of cargo even without having horses in your inventory. For example… I go to curaw buy six units of iron and carry it to sargoth without the aid of pack horses… seems a tad odd to me. So I tried to come up with a solution that wasn’t too complex.
Pack horses concept idea
In your inventory… instead of having one big inventory it would be divided up into:
Items
> 6 slots, all items without a weight value (shields, swords, armor etc)
Pack Horses
>3 slots at default with an additional 2 for every inventory management skill
Cargo
>0 slots +3 for every horse in the pack horse inventory section
any extra horses that you may have that cannot fit in your pack horses inventory section may be placed in here with out using up one of the slots (a new empty slot would appear for every horse placed in here) self propelled baggage you might say.
Now I know I have a tendency to make things more complicated than absolutely necessary… so if you guys think this would simply be a useless piece of micromanagement just tell me to go away.
