Pack horses

I think that packhorses could easily be introduced to this game. You could make it so that it's lik ea regular horse (1 slot in your inventory), but it adds boxs to your inventory, that are labeled ass packhorse carry. You cant get things from them in battle and if you lose the battle and your packhorse is stolen, so is all the stuff inside. This way it doesnt make inventory management obsolete. More slots more expensive. And they don't add to speed, but don't minus speed for the items in the packhoses.

OMFG what if you put a packhorse INSIDE a packhorse?

Whoa, man, I'm freakin' out.

HORSE INSIDE A HORSE

I was just joking, I just don't like chat talk/stupid comments (The slash is there because they usually go hand in hand) so I was just trying to down the mood so that he wouldn't reply again in the same manner, and if he did I could rip him a new one with talk about how war isn't funny, yada yada.

Dude, that's totally off the hook...WTF mate, pass the doobie already, whore! So yeah, horse inside a horse, uh, maybe it'll be like gerbils--they can't gerbil, so you can't put the horse inside another horse but you can fit hte horse up your...backpack. 'Scuse me while I kiss the sky, man.

Again npt really being serious, I want everyone here to never EVER take me serious when I talk about someone else, I have been reading some other posts in the pasts, I don't didn't appreciate some of the things people were saying about others *cough* borlar *cough*.

In chat talk:
WTF green cant u take a jok, LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
     :???:
BTW up urs HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Umm, i don't quite see the point. I don't think we need them. Inventory management is about how much stuff you can carry without losing stuff. Packhorses would just be a way around this.

Although if we did have them they would be useful. I think you shouldn't be able to access your packhorse during a fight, only whats in your inventory. Also maybe they could slow you down actually, rather than being jsut extra inventory slots, since pack animals tend to be pretty slow. Also we could add wagons and carts and other land transportation methods. I think if we're getting this detailed, we should have to carry grain to feed our horses too, and so if you don't keep them fed, they slow down and then die.

Whoa boys, looks like the internet gestapo is here.

PS I don't like your idea

I think pack horses (or other beasts of burden) could potentially be a good idea, but only if given a slot like a prisoner or soldier gets a slot, and you shouldn't be able to put other horses inside them, only loot from battle or weapons.

I think it'd also be nice if instead of having your inventory as a cache/chest to access in battle, you had the pack animal stood there instead. A mule or a donkey tied to a tree would be more visible than a chest. Plus it wouldn't slow you down TOO much, beasts of burden can easily trot after a horse that's carrying a person. It could potentially make your running speed faster if you put most of your items on a pack animal, and like the prisoner management skill, you could have a "pack animal" skill that allows your animal to carry more. That way people could still choose between that and inventory management, for the people who don't want to be weighted down with junk.

I really like that idea.

Pack horses are sorta in the game, any extra horses in your inventory will up your average speed a bit and negate a certain ammount of encumberance. Very useful if you're hauling a lot of trade goods. But I'm sure ya'll know this already. Don't drink and type kids.
