I think it would be cool if you could buy a building and put things into it...like old inventory that you might wanna keep instead of carrying it around all the time, or even a bed if you wanna rest and dont wanna have to pay for all your troops(3 denars per person can add up over time) to stay at your local tavern.
Also i think it would be cool have some mining, hunting, smithing and farming etc. that you can do as well, where this building could come in handy with tools and storage.

I appologise if this has already been brought up in the forums...it's just something i've been looking for in an rpg for long time(mount and blade has full filled most of my needs).
Thank you for your time.

I have noticed many people saying that M&B is for attacking people and not for civilian playing(ie runescape) but i suggest this to have the choice to if you want to, like me. If this were to be implemented you would not have to take advantage of this feature, just go on do you own thing as you are now. The reason i suggested is that if it were implemented it would satisfy more of the population thus increasing sales and making this game more well known, i want that to happen cause i like this game and want it to flurish. So please no flaming.

If you dont like this idea just say so, dont insult people who have voted towards this idea. Thank you for your time, sorry if i sound rude as i do not intend to be. Oh, and dont forget to vote...voting is compulsory in this territory ;) ...hehe.

Welcome to the forum Mitto.

I like the idea of land ownership for later stages of the game. Being the lord of the manor for instance, looking after and managing your villiage kinda thing. Owning a smithy or other resource would be cool as abstractions... not sure I wanna stand at the anvil all day though...

Well this is not a MMORPG, so no need to spend hours clicking on buttons behind an anvil to increase your "blacksmithing" skill.

I realised what you were sayin...after i posted this...i agree with you now...because you can level up and upgrade skills(more so in M&B than most rpgs). Maybe you could Hire blacksmiths to do your work or train you, either way it'll be fun(i think).

if it doesn't come out in the final maybe someone will make a mod and add it, i hope.

[Edited out]:
If you can make your own weapons from iron...you can sell it for cash, or distribute it through your party...it is not only for MMORPG. I would love to do that kinda stuff...i've been searching for an offline rpg that does do it, so i'm hoping.

i think i got your comment the right way...if not then blah...hehe :P

Yeah. I love trade skills. But I don't think the standard warrior (although valiant, renowned and L337) of the 14th century could just learn to smith. You'd probably need to learn that crap from childhood, like all other jobs. Now, I don't want an ULTRA realistic game, just a practical one, and I like the line this game draws between the two. Being able to smith plate armor perfectly while hitting a charging cavalry rider in the head with a longbow, as well as knowing the key arts of swordsmanship would make the infantryman's head spin.

Why did you quote that?

nice idea. maybe you could defend your manor from bandit attacks and such. and get all the peasants in your land to join your army for free and that kind of thing.

yes, definitally needs to be implanted

A house would be nice, where you could just sit there and look at it or even decorate it. Keep those freaking forest bandits away, though. I wonder if you'd need to pay hired blades more to stand in one place all day...?

Actually blacksmiths should know how to use a sword, if that's what they make for a living. If they can't use it how will they know if it's a good sword or not?

Um, yeah, everyone knew how to use a basic weapon, probably even some women. But if I was some pompous English general, I'm not going to send a bunch of freaking blacksmiths to war and cripple my own goddamn line of production. See, there are reasons.

LOL! This REEKS Runeskape
Mining, farming, etc is not a goood idea IMHO. You became an adventurer NOT to end up on a freaking mine!

However, a house looks like a reasonable idea and will ad some good flavor to the game.

Well, I expressed myself badly. The point was: "I would like a blacksmithing implementation, but I would hate it with my whole heart if they'll choose a point&click-thousand-times approach as in many MMORPGs."
