I m proudly present you my first two maps, builded up for a scenario where the prussians was driven from "frankfurt" to "cologne" called "over the rhine".

1.

Raven Hour - prussian outskirts
Gamemodes: conquest, battle
speciality: frontline, epicness

the fight at the "Siebengebirge" mountains (made because i hate the boring random maps with ***** rounded hills)
Gamemodes: conquest, battle
speciality: several fallable positions, terrain depth

The two maps  are still beta phase, but will be integrated into the upcomming patch.

I am hoping that the two maps will be on different daytimes(night/morning), but thats not confirmed because this code isnt tested for this mod.

another maps of this scenario will have to wait a while until i have time, mood and the stuff i need for them.

God that's dam impressive especially the second one and the detail on both maps is simply amazing. Can't wait to play them !.  :wink:

Hehe, yes due to my first napoleon video "a tribute to napoleon total war", it was in one of the competitions of TW-Center. But i am long not that good as some of the guys there in video editing.
But ok, all the videos i made until now, are on the channel. as u see not so many. Nanny is god of trailer and gamemovie heaven after all :smile:
 
As I said nice maps, but you videoediting skills arent that great. You need to improve that. Your maps are really nice !

yes i think i could do better if i had the mood and time... but its ok for now :smile:

Anyway, maps look really detailed, good work!
 
Dont get me wrong, the maps look fantastic. But theres a problem.

Size.

Both of those maps look massive. As i said before, i am not going to run across a persistent world size map in battle mode. Not going to happen. And because its battle, its going to result in mass camping, meaning that once youve spent 20 minutes running towards that mountain, you  see someone, and you get yourself killed. (on the view of a crap/average/unlucky player).You then watch the people behind you either get killed, or you watch them defeat the ambushers. But, there will always be one moron hiding or shooting far away from the main group. This isn`t a problem on normal maps, but the with that mountains map....... its going to cause chaos. There will be mass rage quits if one team is hunting a straggler for ages. The solution? Put invisible walls on the path and separate the distance to about a normal sized map distance apart.

ok, i know your point... but dont think youre the first to got any ideas.

1. Raven Hour map: long= 2/3 to waterloo Width= 1/10-1/12 to waterloo (10% of the map hills not passable).

2. Siebegebirge Mountains map: long= as waterloo width=as waterloo (33-40% of the map hills not passable, also most of down the hills are not to go up but cliffes from the mountains top are fallable).

so in line battle/battle you dont have much space to go except the passes on map 2.

with the new conquest mode u will spawn at the latest captured flag on this maps. So only "Siebengebirge" could be a little big for battles without more than 50-60 guys maybe.

Update: 13. Nov 2010

Rebuild:

Raven Hour, Siebengebirge.

Much less scene objects, due to better performence.

Siebengebirge: from 1.156 mb to 1 mb

Raven Hour: from 350 kb to 310 kb

Ready for the next hotfix that hopefully neutralize all the crashes at map start from Siebengebirge.

They are in the official mod release, also Fahausi is mentioned as a official M&M mapper in the team list. :smile:

oh big thnx for list me btw !

@miriam: just one prob atm is that one map is not running that good, i think due to a bug. The other gives crashes to some ppl like all big maps still.

But thanks for thumb ups!

i try to fix the maps in future more or remake lets see.
 
Update:

Part 3 "Siegburg swamps & lakes"

Gamemodes: conquest, battle

speciality: drawnable swamps (need scouting to get throught, 3 light bridge ways over the whole map), melee massacre, sneaking enemys positions via swamps.
