Outlaw villages

Two villages have rebelled and are under the Outlaw Faction. How are they retaken?

According to one of the stickied topics, you're supposed to loot the village to retake it.

Ah, that's fine. Now how do ensure that villages or cities do not rebel. There doesn't seem to be too many options.

Do quests and nice things for the villagers and cities until they like you too much to rebel. Either that or place your capital nearby them. Population centers only rebel if they think they're outside your influence. If they're within the sphere of influence of the capital, they won't dare try to rebel; if they like you, they won't want to.
